My Singing Monsters

Ziggurab's pinchers aren't just snappy sound-makers. They're also multi-purpose tools perfect for chopping veggies, wood, or wrapping paper. You could say Ziggurab is quite the handymon - literally! When it's not slicing and dicing, this not-so-crabby monster loves to take a snooze with its head buried deep in its soundproof body chamber.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Ziggurab is a Triple-Element Fire Monster found on Faerie Island and Amber Island. It was added on December 11th, 2019 during the 2.3.5 Faerie Island update. It is best obtained by breeding Boskus and Noggin. By default, its breeding time is 20 hours long. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Ziggurab has decent Coin production, though Pladdie is recommended. The Goal for placing your first Ziggurab rewards the player with 50,000 Coins and 3 Relics.

On Amber Island, Ziggurab is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 20 Relics as a Vessel, which then can be revitalized by zapping eggs into it. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Ziggurab has decent Relic production.

Instrument: Synthesized drum kit

Much like in Dawn of Fire, Ziggurab makes beats that sound like a synthesized drum kit.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

Ziggurab requires the elements of Earth, Cold, and Fire. Breeding combinations are as follows:

Of these, Boskus + Noggin is the best combination, as failing and breeding a Noggin lets you retry the combo almost instantly. Drumpler + Kayna is a close second, because it has low average times in case of breeding failure.

Ziggurab can also be bred in a breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a Ziggurab in a breeding failure include:

(Best choice, 100% chance of a Ziggurab if Rare Ziggurab is unavailable)

(Good choice, very small chance of getting Pladdie)

On Amber Island, it must be bought from the Market as an inactive Vessel that must be woken up.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Ziggurab:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Ziggurab's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Ziggurab's happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Ziggurab or when Ziggurab and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Ziggurab's likes as well:

Revitalizing[]

On Amber Island, Ziggurab must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but are instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Ziggurab by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Ziggurab can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Ziggurab requires a total of 1,000Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Ziggurab's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Ziggurab eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Ziggurab eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs.

Notes[]

  • Ziggurab's name is a portmanteau on Ziggurat (massive temples from the times of ancient Mesopotamia), and crab.
  • Ziggurab was the first Monster on Amber Island to be re-released.
  • Up until the release of Amber Island Wave 2, Ziggurab played throughout the entire song. Flum Ox and Boskus caused the song on Amber Island to update with an extended part, in which Ziggurab did not play at all. Waves 4, 5 and 14 also added new verses that Ziggurab did not play in.
  • The official name for Ziggurab’s bi-levels are Crab Stacks.
