The World Tree of the Big Blue Bubble Multiverse holds together many of the worlds from games made by Big Blue Bubble, including the Monster World. It’s called the Stablo Mjehurića, which is Croatian for “Bubble Tree”. This name was revealed by Monster Handler Matt during the Extra-Life 2021 livestream. It was written in the Monster World language of “Aramonic” (named after Aramaic) in a tome of knowledge called the Mjehuricon of unknown authorship, bound by Stritch Skin.
It is inspired by Yggdrasil from Norse Mythology, and like in Norse Mythology, it is feasible to travel between worlds connect by the World Tree by means of magic, as evident from Epic Scups traveling to Thingia or Monsters going through the Prism Gate.
Stablo Mjehurića sometimes seeps sap, which can harden to form amber,[1] ultimately being responsible for the binding magic of the trees. The magical properties of amber are still unknown to us to this day. It has been known to encase Monsters like Kayna on Tribal Island and has appeared in various past Big Blue Bubble properties, as shown through the Shard Mountains found in the Fling a Thing! game and from Epic Scups's teaser.
Monster World[]
- Main article: Monster World
The Monster World is the main dimension within the Multiverse, where the My Singing Monsters franchise takes place and most of the Monsters live. Compared to the Human World, the Monster World is quite ancient. It however is not as old as the Thumpieverse or Thingia.
PS Vita Parallel Dimension[]
The PS Vita Parallel Dimension is a parallel dimension of the Monster World.[2] It is where the PS Vita version of the game takes place. Since the PS Vita version was only updated up to Version 1.2.5, it is presumed that any features added after that version do not exist here. G'joob and Yawstrich enjoyed their life in the PS Vita universe until they were welcomed into the prime reality in the 7th anniversary update. It is unknown if the Big Fish Games port or Monster Choir are their own dimensions.
The Playground[]
The Playground is a virtual world that is accessible from every Wubbox (presumably only when in box form). It is depicted in the My Singing Monsters Playground game. Monsters enter this world after they are boxed into a Wubbox. It features many games to play and intricate structures. These structures feature many different architectural styles, but many patterns and motifs akin to that of Starhenge can be found.[3] Although presumed to be part of the Monster World, the Bio of the 'Cannon Chaos' Contraption suggests that the Playground may be able to connect digitally to other Worlds, which would likely mean that the Playground is considered to be a world separate from the Monster World, which in turn would mean that The Playground is a rare representation of a world inside another world, alike to the Pocket Dimension.
Prism Dimension[]
The Prism Dimension[4] is a world devoid of sound and is inhabited by the Glowbes. So far, only the main species of Glowbes, the SkyPainting Seasonal Whiz-bang, and the sub-species of Optiglowbe (the Glowbes being the only mobile species) have been found in the Monster World. The Prism Gate from the era of Dawn of Fire is the only known gateway to this world. When Monsters enter through the gate, they become physically altered, turning into Prismatic variants. The cause of this is unknown, but may be the result some chemical reaction or fluid in the Glowbes and Optiglowbes themselves. This subject is hotly debated, however, as Whiz-bang was only transformed upon entering the Prism Gate. Were it truly the case that Glowbes contain some chemical with transformative properties, they would eventually all transform into Whiz-bangs because of being filled with this transformative power. Before September 29, 2022, the Prism Dimension was simply known as the Glowbe's homeworld.
Thumpieverse[]
The Thumpieverse is a world most notably depicted in the Thumpies game. It is home to the Thumpies and Bonkers. Its most known locations are the Great Tree and forests that surround it, the Mountain Morsel cliffs, and another forest of stalks called the Dry Patch. It along with the Realm of Thingia are the oldest of these universes. The Great Tree Bawnzi is a seed pod born from the Stablo Mjehurića.[5]
Thingia[]
Thingia is a world most notably depicted in the Fling a Thing! game. It is home to the Things and some squid-like monsters. Its most known locations are the Tall Tree, the Underneath, and the Shard Mountains- the latter of which has characters from other games stuck in its amber. The only monster specimen confirmed to have ever entered Thingia is a select few Scups, which is revealed in the Epic Scups bio. Beside this, the Ambered Thing and Freed Thing decorations originate from Thingia as well. It along with the Thumpieverse are the oldest of these universes. The Tall Tree is a seed pod born from the Stablo Mjehurića.[6]
Cave Crystal Island[]
The dimension of Cave Crystal Island is a world with little known about it. The first and only reference to it is the Cave Crystal Teleporter decoration that was added on September 1st, 2022. The decoration shows that this world is covered in blue crystals and also has an affinity to music, as evident by the treble clef. The decoration's bio also reveals that a being called the Connatruna, who is heavily implied to have inspired Knurv, lives here.
Toppelopolis[]
Toppelopolis is a city within the game Wrecking Squad, which was a game developed by Big Blue Bubble. The Bio of the 'Cannon Chaos' Contraption decoration suggests that the name of this game's world is also referred to as Toppelopolis. This world is inhabited by evil robots and the Wrecking Squad, which is a team of creatures that specialize in destroying the abandoned buildings of the Toppelopolis city.
Helmöth[]
Helmöth is where Power Chord, which was a game developed by Big Blue Bubble, takes place. It is referenced in Prismatic Riff's bio. Apparently it can be reached through the Prism Gate and had an influence on Prismatic Riff. As seen in its teaser, Prismatic Riff stole its axe from Grimnir Brawlfist, a character from Power Chord.
Home Dimension of Asveldt and Calagan[]
Expansion Required This section requires expansion. You can help My Singing Monsters Wiki by adding more relevant content to this section. |
The home dimension of the games Dark Incursion and Foregone, respectively.
Human World[]
The Monster-Handlers have stated that our world canonically exists within the larger My Singing Monsters multiverse.[citation needed] Monsters generally refer to humans as "hoomans", which is heavily built into the 7-part miniseries My Singing Monsters: Fandemonium. The Island description for Shugabush Island suggests there to be a sort of "seam" between the Human and Monster World which Legendary Monsters seem to have some sort of control over. It is known that Composer Island, Tribal Island, and The Colossingum similarly exist along the Seam, as both directly involve human interaction. It is also known that the Rare Wubbox was accidentally created when a common Wubbox made contact with the Human World, becoming corrupted while also gaining features such as the keyboards on its arms.
Human Expert Dimension[]
The Human Expert Dimension has Human Experts, the alternate universe version of the Monster-Handlers. Human Experts study humans instead of Monsters. According to Monster-Handler Matt, it might not even be part of the Big Blue Bubble Multiverse,[7] but will be stated in this article anyways.
The Beyond[]
The Beyond is the Monster World equivalent of outer space and everything off-world from the torus. This includes Magical Nexus, located in the crossroads between dimensions. The Beyond is also home to many unknown planets, such as Anglow’s home world. The beyond also contains the distant places in which Phosphora, Cruv’Laapht, Faesodd, Necrull, and the Stair Shaper hail from. It is unknown where any are from exactly, but we know that the Stair Shaper travels across the galaxies of the beyond, wishing to spread their influence as far and wide as possible.
The Rift[]
The Rift is described as the "blank nothingness" that exists between dimensions. This is where Dr. Wardin E. Spurrit notably lost the Separating Existence Widget (S.E.W) while traveling to the Monster World. It will continue to randomly make portals between the Monster and Human Worlds until it inevitably runs out of power.[8]
Greatfruit Grove[]
The Greatfruit Grove is a dimension where various types of trees grow, and is the titular location of the eponymous game, Greatfruit Grove. In addition to these trees, it is also home to little monkeys that make their home in the Monkey Mansion, which is a tree connected to the Stablo Mjehurića in the same way the the Tall Tree and Great Tree are.[9] Dulcettéa, the Amber Island Colossal, has made an effort to conserve the unique flora of this dimension with Project Seed.
Other Worlds[]
There are most likely other worlds that either haven't been discovered yet or haven't yet been made canon to My Singing Monsters. Characters that are depicted in the Shard Mountains of Thingia likely each have their own home dimension.
Notes[]
- The artists depiction of the Stablo Mjehurića resembles the Kindle app icon; They both share a blue, cloudy background, as well silhouettes of a young child, a tree, and a hill. The only differences are that the child in the World Tree art is younger, and that they vary in their current activities (World Tree: they are blowing bubbles, Kindle: they are reading a book).
