My Singing Monsters has passed through numerous updates since its original release. Here is a list of those updates, and what they brought to the game. All supported platforms that My Singing Monsters can be played on are updated simultaneously, with the exception of some platform-exclusive bug fix updates.
Platforms Supported[]
Currently, My Singing Monsters is supported on iOS and iPadOS, Android, Amazon Fire, and Steam for Windows. The iOS version has been updated since 1.0.0. The Android version has been updated since 1.0.3. The Amazon version has been updated since 1.1.0. The Steam version has been updated since 3.0.1, however the latest version was 3.0.5 when it first launched.
Discontinued Platforms[]
The original Windows versions was developed by Big Fish Games, which stopped updating at version 1.2.9. It was later shut down three years later on July 6th, 2018. The Facebook PC version was shut down on April 30th, 2015.
The Playstation Vita version launched at 1.2.8 and has not updated since. Big Blue Bubble announced in September 2019 that Playstation allowed them to retain the Mythical Monsters and decorations previously exclusive to the Vita, due to the Playstation Vita approaching its end-of-life. This resulted in the Version 2.3.2 for iOS and Android. Although the platform is no longer supported, the servers for the PS Vita’s store are still open.

This page only lists versions 4.0.0 to present.
- For the 35 versions from 1.0.0 to 1.4.3, see Version History/1.0

- 'Retry' Breeding attempts are no longer per Breeding Structure (a change enacted on the servers a day prior to this release).
- The Friends List no longer uses the Hobeaux font, using the OpenDyslexic instead. This solves the issue of some players' names, notably those with some Cyrillic characters, appearing as a series of skulls.
- The Spin Wheel icon on the Castle now has an indicator for when an extra spin by watching an ad is available.
- The new "Supercharged" Ad Speedup is sometimes available, allowing you to skip 1 hour instead of 15 minutes. This option seems to pop up at random times.
- Graphics have changed internally from a lossless compression format, to a lossy compression format, sacrificing some graphics quality for much smaller download sizes and a slight reduction in loading times.
- The graphics were shifted on some phones to remove a black bar that appears on the side of the screen.
- A new "???" button was added to the Monster name changing dialog. Pressing it enters one of the Monster's 'default' names. Pressing it repeatedly cycles through all potential names, thus allowing for fast discovery of them.
- In the Mobile version of the game, you can now choose your Monsters in Friendly Matches on The Colossingum. Prior to this change, the last-used set of Monsters in regular Versus would be used.
- If no Versus Matches are available, you cannot start a Friendly Match. This is probably a bug.
- On or before August 29th, 2024 all Monsters' Path Likes were changed to different Likes. This was done to accommodate for the then-upcoming Path Painting feature.

On the other hand, you can now attempt breeding for Monster A and Monster B on the same island, without having to juggle the Breeding Combinations, as you can simply retry on each Breeding Structure individually. - The way the instability of any Meeb configuration is calculated has been entirely reworked. It has yet to be confirmed how it was changed, but so far, the number of Meebs used in a configuration now affects the overall stability. Moreover, the Plasma Meeb now appears to affect the stability, whereas it previously did not.
- A further Castle upgrade on Amber Island has been added, thus being able to accomodate 360 beds.
- The interface of the Market has been slightly scaled down (on at least 4:3 devices).
- The "x" on the promo (Mailbox) images has been changed to a blue (BBB logo) button with a white outline.

What's the 411? A little advice for aspiring Fires: you'll get put out if you don't get a little wild! The Monster-Handlers are Fired up to announce the FIRE EXPANSION!
As the FEAST-EMBER Seasonal Event kicks off on Fire Haven, a collection of Fire Monsters previously exclusive to Amber Island have made their way to the Fire and Magical Islands! Pro tip: If you've been keeping up with Amber Island, that Relic generation investment is paying off! The Monsters' accompanying Rares are also joining in the fun as StarShop exclusives for the duration of Feast-Ember. When will these Monsters visit again? Only time will tell, so you'd better get organized!
The impetuous Rare Spurrit makes its wall-crashing debut as well, alongside the fluorescently-coloured Rare Bona-Petite and cave-crawling Rare Candelavra (the first-ever Rare Quint!) As we approach the end of 2023, focus begins to shift back to the Ethereal Workshop, and what newcomers may await during the final Seasonal Event of the year…

Wielding Ethereal Elemental Moves and sharing their Single-Element cousins' ability to regenerate Stamina, they will soon be on the front lines in new Quests rewarding unbelievable Costumes.

- Upon clicking, a small menu appears that more clearly describes the requirements of the Flex Egg.
- On the Mobile version, Jam Boree on Gold Island now correctly uses its audio file from the Steam version, which makes Jam Boree's sound properly synced with its animation.
- The five Natural Coloss-Eyes have had their bios updated to include the names voted upon by the community, that being Grennitch, Frigil, Zeffree, Hyddryd, and Sollum.
- Noticed on October 15th, 2023 - the most recent Monster Sold on Amber Island can now be found as a Buyback option in the Market. Amber Island Vessels are still exempt from Buyback.
