My Singing Monsters Wiki
Dawn of Fire

The Tuskski calf is full of wonder about the world around it... but this can sometimes lead the Quint to entangle itself (and its trunks) into sticky situations. Don't get us wrong, it's a good Mon'... and thorough. But when it focuses too much on satisfying its own curiosity and doesn't fully consider the limitations of itself or the situation, it can cause frustration in its fellow Monsters, who cry out "Forget it, Tuskski, you're out of your Element!"
Young Bio

Once it's grown up into the 'Big' Tuskski, this Monster has suitably mellowed out. It abides by a simple philosophy to be kind to others, and to pay compliments whenever possible (example: "Nice Mammott"). It's this level-headed attitude that makes the Monster so revered, and all Cold Elementals look forward to hearing the Quint's trumpeting join in - it can really tie an Island together.
Adult Bio

This Tuskski returned from the Prism Gate forever changed! Gone are its fluffy coat and snowy slopes, better suited to chilly Cold. Prismatic Tuskski instead appears to have undergone a molecular alteration to adapt to rough and rocky Earthen terrain, sprouting jagged boulders and mountains of minerals from atop its back - extraordinary!

VSTs[]

Main article: VSTs

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Tuskski can be bred with the Elements Air, Earth, Water, Cold, and Fire. The following are the combinations for breeding Tuskski:

Of these, Sneyser+Noggin, Whaddle+Drumpler, Congle+Stogg, or Scups+Boskus are the best combinations, as they have the shortest wait time per failed attempt.

Tuskski can also be bred through breeding failure. Any combination that includes Tuskski and another Monster has a 50% chance to result in either Tuskski or the other Monster. The best combinations include:

(Best choice, has the lowest waiting time in case of not resulting in a Tuskski. 50% chance of a Noggin)

(Second best choice, 50% chance of a Kayna)

Miscellaneous[]

Notes[]

  • Tuskski represents the Cold Element.
  • Tuskski is the first and only Quint-Element Monster to be introduced during the Festival of Yay Junior event. It and Yool are the first Monsters to be added during the Festival of Yay Junior since the event received its official name.
  • Tuskski is the first of the Quint-Elementals introduced in My Singing Monsters to release in Dawn of Fire. It is also the first Fire Elemental Monster to have come out in a year in Dawn of Fire, with the last one being PongPing. More precisely, it is the first Fire Quint to have come out in 6 years, with the last one being Drummidary. It is also the third Fire Elemental Monster to have come out in the original game before Dawn of Fire, with the first being Kayna and the second being Bowhead.
  • Tuskski is the second and last Quint-Element Monster to be released in 2023, with the first being Mimic.
  • Tuskski and Yool were the first (non-Prismatic) Monsters to release in Dawn of Fire as a pair since the 1.18.0 update in 2018, with the additions of Reedling and Scups.
  • Young Tuskski's bio references the line "Forget it, Donny, you're out of your element!" from The Big Lebowski.
    • "Nice Mammott" in its adult bio also references the line "Hey, nice marmot" from the same film.
  • Upon its initial release, Tuskski did not have a shadow on Cloud Island. This was fixed a few days later.
  • Like the situation with Sneyser, Bowhead, and Gnarls, Tuskski's design is drastically different from the original game. This is noticeable with the addition of extra fur and the difference in both its eye color and its size.
  • Oddly, instead of being rendered in Mono rendering like the other sounds in-game, Tuskski's sound on both the Continent and Cloud Island are rendered in Stereo rendering.
    • This trait is shared with Punkleton on the Continent.
  • Tuskski is the only brass instrument Monster to go on Cloud Island.
  • Despite not having the Plant Element, Tuskski has pine trees scattered along its back.
  • Tuskski is the last Monster to be on Cloud Island.
  • Tuskski going to Cloud Island in Dawn of Fire was hinted at in the Fire Expansion update, when Tuskski went to Faerie Island (Cloud Island's Magical counterpart).
  • Tuskski is the last Monster to receive its Prismatic forms to:
  • There appears to be a pattern with the Prismatic Quints, which all the Elements of the Quints would be pushed back by two, arranged by the elements order (Air, Plant, Earth, Water, Cold, Fire). For Tuskski, even though it represents the Cold Element, its Prismatic forms represent the Earth Element.
  • Tuskski has the third shortest distance between its release and its Prismatic's release at just 224 days. The title was later beaten by Bowhead at 168 days, who was then beaten by Gnarls at 70 days.
    • If you count the Quints being in My Singing Monsters first, then Tuskski has the shortest distance at 498 days.
  • Purple Prismatic Tuskski's eye white seems to be broken in-game, as it is not visible on its third eye for some reason.
  • Tuskski received a Costume during SummerSong Junior 2024. This is because Tuskski represents the Cold Element, and Cold Island in the contemporary era does not have the Earth Element, whose Natural Island in the contemporary era celebrates SummerSong.
  • With the release of G'joob and Yawstrich, there was a bug where Tuskski did not show its idle animation and replaced it with its 2nd track animation with no sound on the Continent before Yawstrich played. This bug has been fixed in Version 3.2.0.
  • Tuskski was the first (and last) to play exclusively the 8th and 9th verse on Cloud Island since Pango.
  • Unlike in the original game, Tuskski's trunks are locked in place when it plays.
