My Singing Monsters

A Tring's nose ring is its most prized possession. Each Tring crafts its own ring using foraged metals, shaping it with their impressive strength until the ring produces the gentle chime for which Trings are best known.
Monster Bio

Description

Tring is a quad-element Fire Monster exclusive to Fire Haven. It was added on November 21st, 2018 during the 2.2.4 Fire Haven Update. It is best obtained by breeding Barrb and Noggin. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 16 hours long. Tring has excellent coin production, only being surpassed by its Rare and Epic counterparts.

Song

Audio Sample:

Instrument: Triangle

VST: Kontakt

It makes a triangle sound by flicking the triangle on its nose. On Fire Haven, it plays during the part where the Tweedle, Kayna and the Cybop sing.

Breeding

The Tring can be bred using monsters that combine to provide all the elements Air, Plant, Earth and Fire without repeating any.

The following pairs of Double Element Monsters can be used to breed a Tring:

However, the combination of a 3-element with 1-element monster has a higher rate of success:

Likes

Every monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the monster, the monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a monster will still only increase its happiness by 25%. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the monsters. Below are the things liked by Tring:

Earning Rate and Maximum Income

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters

Each monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the monster's level increases the coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum coins earned.

Egg Consumption

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Tring eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available.

Note that bred Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" into inactive Celestials; active ones do not accept Monster eggs. Also note that inactive Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Tring eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs.

Notes

  • Tring's name comes from a combination of the words "triangle", as in the instrument, "ding", as in the sound it makes, and "ring", also onomatopoeia for the sound it makes and referring to a nose ring, which the Tring's triangle resembles.
  • Tring has the least complex musical score of any monster, not including Glowbes.
  • Tring is the only fire quad to have an Epic Version.
  • When Tring was released, it had a bug where it only played once in the Fire Haven song. This bug has now been patched.
