Reason: Info on cost of linking/unliking Monsters

This strange object defies conventional classification. Grown from a humble seedpod delivered from Beyond, it at once resembles a gigantic flower bud that has yet to bloom, and a chrysalis inside which... well, no one quite knows what's in there. It certainly looks like it belongs on this Magical Island - its color scheme and aesthetic make it look right at home among the rocks, trees and landscape of the resident Titan. An energy signature that is equal parts recognizable and alien seems to emanate from the bud, calling out to the diverse Monsters who observe from a distance and endlessly speculate about what it could be. There's no doubt that it's captured the 'soul' of the island, but perhaps in this case, that expression is more than figurative...

Gather some intrepid Monster volunteers and see what happens when you establish a 'Soul Link' with this strange object!

Inactive Titansoul Bio

Description[]

Titansouls are a Class of Monsters in My Singing Monsters added on October 9th, 2024, during version 4.5.0. Purchased as an inactive Titansoul, they must be activated by increasing their Soul'er Power, which can be done by linking the Titansoul with other Monsters. They become available to buy in the market on their respective island after the player completes the Earth Island Colossal Conundrum.

The Titansouls have an unique way of making music: They manipulate the environment around them. More parts of their song are unlocked as their Soul'er Power increase (as in the diamond shaped segments of the meter within the Soul'er Power menu), with each of them having 4 different tracks.

Soul'er Power[]

Titansoul Soul'er Power Menu

Soul'er power menu

Soul'er Power is a mechanic exclusive to the Titansouls. The Titansouls can be "Soul Linked" to up to twelve unique Monsters: four Commons (excluding the Dipsters), four Rares and four Epics. When a Monster is Soul Linked, it will stop producing Coins as normal, but will instead generate one of various currencies (see below), and will also contribute Soul'er Power to the Titansoul equal to its Coin production rate.

Players can link and unlink a Monster to a Titansoul for free once per day, but any further links or unlinks will cost currency.

Once a Monster is linked to the Titansoul, it will awaken and start contributing to the song. When further milestones are reached in Soul'er Power, the Titansoul will start to contribute more to the song. At full Soul'er Power (reached when the total Coin rate of Monsters linked to the Titansoul is equal to 2,800 or more), the Island's Titan will awaken, but only if all 12 Soul Link slots are filled.

Notes[]

  • Titansouls seem to mix the functionalities of the Wubbox and Coloss-Eyes, albeit with unique twists:
    • The Soul-linking mechanic of Titansouls is similar to the Boxing mechanic of the Wubbox.
    • The process of linking Monsters to the Titansoul to unlock parts of the song and eventually wake up the Island's Titan is similar to the the process of collecting Conundrum pieces to eventually activate a Coloss-Eye and wake up an Island's Colossal.
  • The Titansouls Wordmark's color scheme greatly resembles Rare Monculus' color scheme. It's unknown if that is purely coincidental or not.
  • The Titansoul Element is the first and currently only sigil to not have a circular border, instead being a diamond.
    • The difference in border shape is also reflected in its Monster Egg shape, bearing a rhomboid shape instead of using a round base like most other Monster eggs.
      • Wubboxes also have atypically-shaped eggs, being cubes. Their similarity of both having geometric eggs instead of round ones may have been deliberate to reinforce the similarities between the Titansouls and the Wubbox, with both requiring other monsters to power them.
  • There was a 2-year gap between the release of the Titansoul Element and the Element that released before it, the Dream Element.
  • The Titansouls names seem to come from an aliteration from the titan host's name, mixing the Titan name's first 2 letters with a real life flower family that begins or has a relationship with the titan's name. Phosphora - Phosphoran Phlox, Cruv'laapht - Cruv'laaphtian Crocus.
    • With this information, it can be implied that Necrull's and Faesodd's titansouls could follow the same convention.
    • It is also implied that the flower name has to be short.
      • Necrull's titansoul could use an aliteration with the names Nerine or Nerium. Possibly resulting in Necrullian Nerium or Necrullian Nerine.
      • Faesodd's titansoul could use an aliteration with the names Fatsia or Fagus. Possibly resulting in Faesoddian Fagus or Faesoddian Fatsia.
  • The term "Soul'er Power" is a play on "Solar Power".
  • Titansouls are the only Monsters in the game to:
    • Not able to be sold when placed.
      • The Help menu of Titansouls says that "Titansouls cannot be sold. After all, selling a soul can have grave consequences!"
      • Titansouls, however, can be sold in the nursery.
    • Make different noises the more progress is made on every Island it's on.
    • Directly influence the appearance of an Island when playing its part.
    • Appear on the Common, Rare, and Epic Book of Monsters pages, while not having 'Rare' or 'Epic', respectively, in its name.
