My Singing Monsters

Proven as a keen leader, the Tiawa’s very presence suggests a soothing sageness. In the face of adversity, the queenly Quad simply flourishes its crown of planks, and undertakes any situation or challenge with the help of its noble hearts (it grows a second one alongside a second eye as it ages). For many years, Monsters have followed the knowledgeable beat of Tiawa’s drumming digits as it crafts subtle melodies. Even today, Tiawa continues to give priceless counsel to anyone, and will for generations to come.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Tiawa is a Quad-Element Fire Monster that is found on Light Island and Amber Island. It was added alongside Candelavra on August 3rd, 2022 during Version 3.6.0. As a Quad-Element Fire Monster on a Magical Island, Tiawa is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 300 Relics. By default, its incubation time is 1 day and 16 hours long. Tiawa has a high Coin production on Light Island, comparable to Yelmut and Blow't. The Goal for placing your first Tiawa rewards the player with 100,000 Coins and 4 Relics.

On Amber Island, Tiawa is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 30 Relics as a Vessel, which then can be revitalized by zapping eggs into it. As a Fire Quad-Elemental, Tiawa has an excellent Relic production.

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Instrument: Marimba

Like its Dawn of Fire counterpart, Tiawa plays a marimba with an occasional trill. On Amber Island, it plays alongside Woolabee and PongPing, as well as near the end of the song with Flowah and Barrb.

On Light Island, it plays alongside Fluoress, Furcorn, and the Dipsters, as well as near the end of the song with Yelmut, Drummidary, and Pluckbill.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

VST: PLAY
Sound library: EastWest Hollywood Orchestral Percussion Diamond
SoundFont: Marimba Rolls and Marimba Lite

Breeding[]

Unlike in Dawn of Fire, where Tiawa is best bred with Wynq and Noggin, Tiawa cannot be bred. Instead, it must be purchased from the Market. On Amber Island, it must be purchased as an inactive Vessel and revitalized by zapping eggs.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Tiawa:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Tiawa's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Tiawa's happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Tiawa or when Tiawa and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Tiawa's likes as well:

Revitalizing[]

On Amber Island, Tiawa must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but are instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Tiawa by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Tiawa can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Tiawa requires a total of 1,560Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Tiawa's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Notes[]

  • Tiawa's name is a corruption of the word tiara.
  • Tiawa was released on the same day as Candelavra and the Epic Wubboxes for Water and Earth Island.
  • Tiawa is the seventh Quad on Amber Island, and the sixth returning Monster from DoF on the island.
  • One of its eyes is slightly smaller than the other, which is not seen in DoF. This may be referencing the fact that it grows a second eye, and thus is less developed, however, it could also just be a visual error.
  • Tiawa seems to resemble both the Air Element (its fur seems to resemble feathers) and the Plant Element (its crown and its legs seem to be made out of different types of wood), but these are the two elements that Tiawa ironically does not have.
  • Early on, this Monster was going to be called "Xylimba" (a portmanteau of "xylophone" and "marimba"). This name was decided against after the Monster-Handlers realized that only a few people knew how to pronounce it.
  • Tiawa is the first and only Monster to have the Water Element on Light Island.
  • On every Island Tiawa is on, Drummidary plays with it at least once and vice versa, even in Dawn of Fire.
  • If Tiawa was intended to be breedable, then its best combination would be Wynq and Noggin. T-Rox and Kayna would be a close second, as it has the shortest wait time per breeding failure.
  • If Tiawa had the “Flash Prance” costume on Amber Island, its hind leg would disappear during its playing animation. This bug has since been fixed.
