Strategy[]
As an Air (), Plant (
) and Cold (
) Monster, Thumpies is naturally strong against Plant (
) Monsters and attacks, but is weak against Water (
), Earth (
) and Air (
). Non-skin Thumpies has a strong advantage against Potbellies, but has a strong disadvantage against Scups. Non-skin Thumpies below level 15 are also not good for battling Cybops or PomPoms because even though Thumpies has a musical move unlocked at the beginning, its only elemental moves are Air (
) and Plant (
), which are weak against these monsters. Thumpies has no costumes with a Water (
) move, so it misses out on dealing strong damage against Mammotts.
Costume Choice:
- Aug-Mandibles replaces Stump Thump with an Earth-element coverage move that deals more damage, which is good for battling monsters with the Air (
) element. However, when below level 15, this costume shares its problems with non-skin Scups and Reedlings below level 15; it is not good for battling Drumplers and T-Roxes because even though Thumpies has a musical move unlocked at the beginning, its only elemental moves are Earth (
) and Air (
), which are weak against these monsters..
Notes[]
- The move Odd-ball Oldie sounds like the flute melody from the Thumpies game theme.
- The Crash Test Gear bears resemblance to young Anakin from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
- The Aug-Mandibles costume looks similar to sci-fi tech.
- Update 3.2.0 permanently changed the price of many costumes. Aug-Mandibles changed from 100
(discounted) and 150
(full price) to 20
(discounted) and 30
(full price).
- The outfit "Take Me to Thumpie Town" is likely a reference to the disco song "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc.
- The Thumpies and T-Rox are one of the two pairs of monsters in the Colossingum to share the same stamina and power. The other pair is Kazilleon and Bellowfish.
