| “ | Teeter-Tauter is an unusually unstable pair, even when compared to its synthetic siblings who slink about the Workshop. Its chaotic Elemental power necessitated its split into two separate beings that together form one lovably lopsided Ethereal - made complete with some minor 'Mech-nical' enhancements! While the bipedal Teeter's acrobatic prowess is undeniable, its tireless tittering tends to teeter toward tedious in the eye of its more responsible half, Tauter. | ” |

Description[]
Teeter-Tauter is a Triple-Element Ethereal Monster that is found on Ethereal Workshop and Mech Islet. It was added alongside Rhysmuth, Rare Pixolotl, Rare Clackula, and Rare Anglow on June 18th, 2024, during version 4.3.1. As a Triple-Element Ethereal on Ethereal Workshop, it is obtained by successfully extracting the energies of a Mech Meeb, a Crystal Meeb, and a Poison Meeb, using the Mega-Super-Hyper-Refined Synthesizer by spending 2,500
. Its successful Synthesis time is 1 day and 6 hours long. As a Triple-Element Ethereal, Teeter-Tauter has worse Shard production than Single-Element or Double-Element Ethereals, but Ethereal Workshop lacks both of those, making it an ideal choice for the Island. The Goal for placing your first Teeter-Tauter rewards the player with 100
.

Synthesizing[]
Teeter-Tauter is only available for purchase or synthesizing on Ethereal Workshop. This requires using three Meebs in the Mega-Super-Hyper-Refined Synthesizer attuned to the elements of Mech, Crystal and Poison, with each Meeb carrying one Element.

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Teeter-Tauter:

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the shards earned per minute, as well as the maximum shards earned.

Notes[]
- Teeter-Tauter is the last and the most unstable Triple-Element Ethereal to be added to the game, and has the lowest success rate in synthesizing.
- Teeter-Tauter's name is derived from a teeter totter, another word for a seesaw. It may also incorporate "taut", meaning tight, tense and unrelaxed, possibly referring to Tauter's irritability or the instability of the Monster as a whole.
- Teeter's iris is visible even when its eyelids are closed, similar to a nictitating membrane.
- Their Fan Kit render used to have some issues where Tauter was missing its third toe on its back leg, while Teeter was missing its shadow on Tauter. This has since been fixed since May 22nd, 2025.
- Teeter-Tauter appears to have two idle animations. One of them lasts for two bars and shows it moving and looking from side to side. The second lasts only for one bar as it is followed up by one of its one bar tracks, and doesn't feature it moving position. This animation is only seen two times; just before it plays its second track for the first time before Whaill's verse, and before it plays its first track again at the end of Auglur's first verse.
- In Update 4.4, Teeter-Tauter's idle animation was glitched and replaced with its Track 4 animation. It was fixed later that same day.
- Teeter-Tauter's 3rd and 4th tracks appear to be ordered backwards in the Ethereal Workshop song.
