The T-Rox exudes enthusiasm and energy, displaying flashing spikelets and chomping jaws. Monsters with toes should steer well clear of the T-Rox.
Monster Bio

Description[]

T-Rox is a Triple-Element Monster that is first unlocked on Plant Island. It is best obtained by breeding Maw and Noggin. By default, its breeding time is 8 hours long. As a Triple-Elemental, T-Rox does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first T-Rox rewards the player with 5,000 Coins and 50 Treats. Additionally, placing a T-Rox on Gold Island for the first time rewards the player with 2,000,000 Coins.

Song[]

Audio sample:

Instrument: Electric drum kit

T-Rox's contribution to an island's song is akin to synthesized drumming. It produces a strong electric kick sound by stomping the ground, and an electric snare via biting. It also plays an electric hi-hat on Plant Island.

VSTs[]

Main article: VSTs

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

T-Rox can be bred using Monsters that combine to provide the elements of Earth, Water and Cold. Possible combination(s):

Of these, Maw+Noggin is the best combination, as failing and breeding a Noggin lets you retry the combo almost instantly. Drumpler+Toe Jammer is a close second.

T-Rox can also be bred in breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a T-Rox in a breeding failure include:

(Best choice, 100% chance of a T-Rox if Rare T-Rox is unavailable)

(Good choice, 1% chance of a Ghazt/Reebro)

(Good choice, slight chance of T-Rox but Noggin takes 5 seconds)

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by T-Rox:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near T-Rox or when T-Rox and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be T-Rox's likes as well:

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" T-Rox eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of T-Rox eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Kayna's Vessel has no time limit, and its egg inventory cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]

  • T-Rox's name is a portmanteau of the words T-Rex (Tyrannosaurus rex), a dinosaur from the Cretaceous period, and "Rocks", because the Monster has rock-like scales over its body.
  • The name "T-Rox" remains the same in almost every translated version of the game.
  • T-Rox is the only Triple-Element Natural Monster that does not require 12 hours of breeding/incubating, taking only 8 hours. This is particularly useful for breeding the Ethereals Ghazt and Reebro on Plant and Air Islands.
    • This may be due to it containing the first three elements acquired in the game, Earth, Water, and Cold, making it a sort of starter Triple-Element.
  • T-Rox, along with Mimic and Dandidoo, are the only Natural monsters to not be on the island that one of their elements represent.
  • Despite the fact that T-Roxes only finish being bred/incubated in 8 hours, it still has a higher maximum coin income compared to the other three-element Monsters on Plant Island.
  • Despite its bio mentioning that "Monsters with toes should steer well clear of the T-Rox", Congle actually likes T-Rox.
  • In the Plant Island BGM of My Singing Monsters Live, T-Rox sounded different.
  • T-Rox is, strangely, one of Hyehehe's default names.
    • This itself may be a reference to a bug from Dawn of Fire when T-Rox first released, in which a newly hatched T-Rox would always be named either "T-Rox" or "New Monster".
  • T-Rox and Entbrat are the only two Monsters that are needed to wake up / revitalize both Seasonal Monsters on zapping Islands, which are Viveine and Monculus.
  • Young T-Roxes are called pups.
  • Due to their excavator-like mouth and feet, T-Roxes are great for digging-related projects. They are also known to dig just for fun.[1]
  • T-Rox does not play its third track at any point on Mirror Air Island, though it does play the track on Air Island.
  • As of the game's fifth anniversary, T-Rox is the most bred Monster in the game with 95,826,971 T-Roxes being bred up to that point.[2]
