Starpower is a special by-product of the contributions of Tribal island. It is calculated based on how much you've fed your monster, and gets boosted the more members you have in your tribe. Your earned Starpower can be redeemed at the StarShop available in the Market on the Natural Islands.

One Facebook post about Starpower, prior to its real use being released

Starpower (Starpower) is a type of currency that allows players to buy special items and most Rare Monsters at the StarShop.

Even though it was first introduced in the 1.3.5 update, it only came into practical use after the 1.3.6 update, when the StarShop was first released. Before then, Big Blue Bubble had posted a sneak peak of Starpower's future use.

Getting Starpower[]

Tribal Island[]

Starpower is largely earned by leveling up your tribal monster, and given automatically at the end of every week in Tribal Island. If you are not still part of a tribe at the moment that the Starpower is distributed, you won't receive any of that week's earnings, though this won't affect your current "bank balance" of Starpower.

A player's potential Starpower is based upon both that player's level in the Tribe, as well as the Tribe's level, following roughly the formula "5 x Player Level + Tribe Level + Some amount". A player with higher contributions to feeding their monster will thus gain more Starpower for themselves. See the Tribal Island article for more information.

Bonus Items[]

5 Starpower can be received as a Bonus Item from Monsters that produce them.

Versus challenges in The Colossingum[]

Versus challenges in The Colossingum reward varying amounts of Starpower depending on the challenge and level attained.

Note: Wublins, Adult Celestials and the Nexus Nucleus (all of which produce different amounts of random currencies) do not produce Starpower, Relics, or Keys.

Using Starpower[]

Once a player has enough Starpower, they can use it in the StarShop in the same way that coins and shards are used in the Market. What can be bought with them are special decorations and Rare Monsters you would not see in the regular Market.

A Rare Wubbox costs 1 Starpower. A Single-Element Rare costs 1,000 Starpower. A Double-Elemental Rare costs 1,500 Starpower. A Triple-Elemental Rare costs 2,500 Starpower. A Quad-Elemental Rare costs 5,000 Starpower. A Quint- Element Rare costs 7,500 Starpower. Often the price will be 50% for the first 48 hours for a 5 day sale.

Notes[]

  • The old appearance of Starpower seems to be a reskin of the stars used in Fling A Thing!.
  • Starpower is sometimes spelled with an uppercase P (StarPower).
  • Starpower is the amassed energy of harmonies sung from different worlds.[1]
  • At some point (likely 2.1.6), the Starpower prices were doubled to their current prices (with the exception of Quints, as they did not yet exist). The old prices were as follows: A Single-Element Rare costs 500 Starpower. A Double-Elemental Rare costs 750 Starpower. A Triple-Elemental Rare costs 1,250 Starpower. A Quad-Elemental Rare costs 2,500 Starpower.
