My Singing Monsters Wiki

Squots are toadstool-like Monsters that creep about in the old dark corners of forested areas, nestling into the damp moss or lying in wait beneath a toppled log. At night, these unusual Monsters truly come alive! Using their spindly arms, Squots reach into hollow tree trunks to pluck out fluorescent Playphids and use them as instruments in their percussive pursuits. Despite knocking politely on their tiny doors, Playphids are nonetheless quite timorous when in the presence of a Squot.

Breeding[]

Squot can be bred with the Elements Cold () and Faerie (). There is only one breeding combination:

Mammott
+
Floot Fly

Note that breeding a Double-Element Faerie Elemental is not a guaranteed success, as with all other Fire/Magical Double-Elementals.

Squot can also be bred in a breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a Squot in a breeding failure include:

Squot
+
Rare Squot

(Best choice, 100% chance of a Squot if Rare Squot is unavailable)

Squot

Pladdie

(Good choice, very small chance of getting Pladdie)

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Squot:

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Squot or when Squot and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Squot's likes as well:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Squot eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Squot eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]

  • Squot's name may be based off of the word "Squat," considering the fact that it's laying on the ground.
  • Squot occasionally opens some of its eyes when muted. This is likely to keep an eye on its Playphid so it doesn't escape.
    • The Playphid curls in a ball and shivers in fear when Squot is muted.
  • Squot is the only Magical Double-Element Monster on Faerie Island to be an instrumentalist, as Wimmzies and HippityHop are both vocalists.
  • Squot was the last Magical Monster on Faerie Island to receive a Rare variant.
