- The Spurrit Statue predates the release of the Spurrit Monster by almost 10 years. This explains why the statue's bio seems outdated, since the Spurrit has been seen by other Monsters after its rediscovery.
- On May 15th, 2024, the last line of the Spurrit Statue's bio was changed to have "... or have they?", to reference Perplexplore.
- The Spurrit Statue depicts the Spurrit with teeth, but the rediscovered Monster is completely toothless. This was explained in an official tweet as resulting from the Spurrit drinking the water from the Living Ocean for many years.
- The Spurrit Statue can be seen in scenery in the My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire Launch Trailer, despite not appearing in that game.
- It was revealed in an Instagram post that the Monsters made the Spurrit Statue as a gift to Dr. Wardin E. Spurrit.
