My Singing Monsters Wiki

Huzzah! If you're reading this, that means that you've accomplished the unimaginable and actually tracked down the Spurrit! A notoriously elusive Seasonal, it nonetheless asserts that it's native to the Monster World… but some have their doubts. When it's not excitedly joining in on an island's song, the Spurrit can be observed fastidiously scribbling in journals, carrying out bold (and sometimes inadvisable) science experiments, and generally marveling at the world around it. The secret to its tireless joie de vivre? Maintaining uninterrupted access to the waters of the living ocean, which it slurps down with a self-satisfied, if perplexing, gulp.

When available, breeding Spurrit on Fire Oasis requires the combination of Wynq and Maw. Success is not guaranteed and may necessitate several tries. If Rare Spurrit is unavailable, breeding Spurrit with a Rare Spurrit on Seasonal Shanty ensures a Spurrit outcome.

Description[]

Spurrit is a Seasonal Monster that celebrates the Perplexplore season and is found on Fire Oasis and Seasonal Shanty. It was added alongside Epic Rootitoot on May 25th, 2022, during version 3.5.0. As a Seasonal Monster, it is only available at certain times. It is best obtained by breeding Wynq and Maw. By default, its breeding time is 20 hours and 18 minutes long. Spurrit has a high Coin production compared to other Monsters on Fire Oasis.

Spurrit can either be teleported to Seasonal Shanty once fed to level 15, or bred with Blabbit and Hoola. Spurrit has a decent Coin production and high maximum income compared to other Monsters. The Goal for placing a Spurrit on Seasonal Shanty rewards the player with 5 .

Song[]

Audio Samples:

Huzzah! (Memory Game; Seasonal Shanty):

Bah (Fire Oasis):

Voice actor: Former Monster-Handler Eric de Val

On Seasonal Shanty, Spurrit shouts "Huzzah!" whilst striking a triumphant pose. It plays alongside Clavavera, Ffidyll, Viveine, Whiz-bang, and Boo'qwurm. It only plays twice in the entire song. On Fire Oasis, Spurrit shouts not only its signature "Huzzah!" but a few variations as well, including "Huzzzzzzzzaaaahhh!", "Huzzah-ha-ha!", and "HUZZ... Bah." It only plays at the beginning of the song, and it plays alongside Mammott and Congle.

Mimic makes a similar noise while copying it.

Spurrit can only be bred for a limited time during the Perplexplore season on Fire Oasis, or anytime on Seasonal Shanty.

NOTE: Spurrit can only be bred or purchased on Fire Oasis during the available dates. Any Spurrits on Fire Oasis that are obtained during that time will stay unless they are sold. Spurrit is also obtainable via weekly Scratch Tickets on Fire Oasis.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Spurrit:

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Spurrit or when Spurrit and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Spurrit's likes as well:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Spurrit eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Spurrit

Adult Syncopite
1 egg

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Spurrit eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Also note that Seasonal Monsters, like Spurrit, cannot be zapped from Seasonal Shanty.

Notes[]

  • Spurrit's name possibly comes from the words "spirit" and "spur" (the latter of which meaning to give incentive or encouragement to someone).
  • Spurrit was once thought to be a long lost or extinct Monster. It has been depicted most notably in the Spurrit Statue.
  • Spurrit's hat closely resembles Monster-Handler Matt's pith helmet.
  • Spurrit is the first Seasonal to release on Seasonal Shanty after its launch, with an Epic Fire Monster instead of a Rare Magical.
  • Spurrit's Seasonal Event was theorized to be based off of Monster-Handler Matt's birthday. However, on the May 2022 episode of My Singing Monsters Live, Matt confirmed this isn't the case since his Celestial isn't Syncopite, meaning his birthday would be during a month that isn't May.
  • All of Spurrit's variants have hidden arms; this is quite notable in their singing animations and in several trailers.
  • All of Spurrit's teeth have fallen out after years of drinking the mysterious waters from the Living Ocean. If the Spurrit Statue is anything to go by, its teeth were long and crooked.[1]
    • Despite not having any teeth or a visible tongue, Spurrit is able to make the /z/ sound in "Huzzah."
  • Spurrit's breeding time of 20:18 is a reference to the year 2018 when Dr. Wardin E. Spurrit was first revealed.[2]
    • Similarly, its maximum coin income at Level 1 is 2,810, which is 2018, but with the last 3 digits reversed.
  • Spurrit and Schmoochle are the only two Seasonals (excluding Jam Boree) to have their Seasonal Event on an Island that already has another Seasonal.
  • Due to its breeding combination only consisting of the Cold, Water, and Fire elements, Spurrit would be with Wynq on any Island with standard breeding mechanics.
  • Snippets of Spurrit's Fire Oasis track can be heard in the SummerSong 2022 trailer, 10 months before actually going there.
    • This could mean that all the new Seasonals most likely had their other island tracks already made alongside their Seasonal Shanty tracks.
  • According to the Big Blue Bubble Extra Life 2023 Livestream, Spurrit and its Rare variant are based on the id, ego, and super-ego. (The same is true for its Epic variant.) Common Spurrit is presumably the ego, as it is described as the conscious part of its personality.
  • As stated in the bio of the Expedition Tent, Spurrit's favorite color is blue.
  • Spurrit is the first Auxiliary Seasonal to get its own costume, and the first Seasonal overall to get a costume that's part of a costume series.
