The Shugafam is a subclass of Legendary Monsters, and a Monster Family within My Singing Monster's Lore. It includes 8 Monsters that are all found on Shugabush Island. The Shugabush is the only Shugafam member that can also inhabit other Islands, those being Plant Island and Gold Island. The other Shugafam members are all exclusive to Shugabush Island, and they are bred from Shugabush and a specific Natural Monster on that island.

The Shugafam is inspired by the music group Sugarland, as well as Shugabush (who is Kristian Bush's Monster counterpart) and Shugabush Island itself.

Monster-Handler Matt mentioned that Viveine was an unofficial member of the Shugafam family.

Breeding Monsters

Shugabush is obtained by breeding Bowgart and Clamble on Plant Island. To get Shugabush on Shugabush Island, it must be fed up to level 15 on Plant Island, then teleported over. All other Shugafam members are bred by combining Shugabush with one of 7 Natural Monsters on Shugabush Island. However, the breeding success rate is not 100%, and they all take 1 day and 11 hours to breed and incubate.

Additionally, Shugabush can be placed down on Gold Island at level 15, but only when on Plant Island.

Note that a Shugajo breeding attempt may also result in a Viveine during the Echoes of Eco event.

Feeding Monsters

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

• Each member of the Shugafam (except Shugabush) has a special characteristic that gives it its distinct color, similar to the Pomily members' diets.
  • Shugarock's jade fur comes from its regular tanning.
  • Shugabass' teal fur comes from the special fungus that grows on its pelt.
  • Shugajo's brown limbs come from its daily mud baths.
  • Shugabeats' amber beard comes from the powder emitted from its cymbal-shrooms.
  • Shugabuzz's smoky-purple limbs come from its diet of Saggle Tree nuts.
  • The reason for Shugitar's ruddy fur is unknown, but it's speculated that it's "a camouflage mechanism to blend in with its guitar."
  • Shugavox's blue fur comes from it misting itself with Deedge earwax, similar to the Blue Bubblerite Path.

• As all Shugafam members take 35 hours to breed and incubate, it is impossible to differentiate between Shugabush and the desired Shugafam member when breeding on Shugabush Island until breeding is complete. This is one of the only cases in which a breeding success can have the same breeding time as a breeding failure, the other being Epic Boodoo or Hairionette
• According to the My Singing Monsters Live on April 19th, 2023, Viveine is considered an "unofficial member" of the Shugafam.
• The Shugafam were seen celebrating their 10 year anniversary on Shugabush Island in the Clubbox's V.I.M. room during the 2023 SummerSong, despite being 5 months early.
  • This better correlates with the 10 year anniversary of Shugabush itself, who released during the first SummerSong.
• All Shugafam members look very masculine in their designs.
