The following article is about a concept or a previously planned feature. It was never obtainable in-game, and may never be.

Throughout the development of My Singing Monsters and My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, plenty of concepts are created, but not all of them are used. This page details some scrapped features from both games.

Scrapped Monsters[]

Currently Scrapped[]

Lyriks[]

The Lyriks were an early concept for the Werdos, each one designed after a Natural Element. The designs later went on to inspire Withur and BeMeebEth.

Doose[]

Doose was a scrapped monster originally meant to debut in Dawn of Fire , replaced by Bisonorus. It was teased on the Version 1.15.1 Login Screen.

Formerly Scrapped[]

These designs were initially scrapped before their appearances in the franchise, until they went on to be reused later.

Floot Fly[]

Floot Fly was originally meant to be the Quad-Elemental of Earth Island, but was replaced by Quarrister. It was eventually redesigned and brought back on Faerie Island as the Core Elemental of the Faerie Element.

Knucklehead[]

On a My Singing Monsters AMA, it was confirmed that Knucklehead was originally going to be a Dawn of Fire monster named "Cubehands". It is possible that this monster was later turned into Drummidary.

Mimic[]

Mimic was conceptualized early in the game's development. In addition to being a Quint-Element Monster with all five Natural Elements, it also would've had unique functionality for its sound, where it would repeat audio recorded by the player. The Monster ended up being scrapped, with its functionality later reworked into the Recording Studio, and part of its design being reused for Rare Clamble. It was eventually released as an actual Monster, first in Dawn of Fire then later in the original game, retaining its original elements and most of its design.

PongPing[]

PongPing was initially meant to be the Quad-Elemental of Water Island, but was replaced by Shellbeat. On a Monster-Handler AMA, its original design was described as "gangly, spherical head, ping-pong paddle hands, and splayed-toed". It was eventually redesigned and brought back as a Fire Quad on Amber Island, with the elements of Plant (), Earth (), Cold (), and Fire ().

Whaill[]

Whaill was originally meant to be the Quad-Elemental of Magical Sanctum, but it was replaced by Enchantling. It was later brought back on Ethereal Workshop as the Quad representing the Plasma Element, with its design changed to replace its four hands and the Magical sigil on its stomach with mouths.

Owlesque[]

Owlesque was conceptualized early in the game's development, but it was scrapped and replaced by Tweedle. Elements of its design were later incorporated into Rare Tweedle, Rare Bowgart, and Grumpyre. Owlesque itself was eventually repurposed as the Faerie Island Paironormal, with a major redesign.

More Fire Islands[]

More Fire Islands after Fire Oasis were initially planned, and their songs were fully or partially completed, but they were later reworked into the Magical Islands, with one of the Natural Elements in each Island being replaced with one of four new Magical Elements.[1]

Psychic Island was the only one of these Islands to be launched with its original name, as it was used before the reveal of the Psychic Element. All of the Fire Quads originally intended for the Islands were later brought to them with the Fire Expansion in November 2023.

Unused Crystals[]

Two unused Crystals exist in the files of Dawn of Fire, along with Polished and Carved forms. Although they have yet to be added to the game, they appear in the original game as part of Crystalline Castles.

Crystal Polished Carved About
Pyrozite An unused Crystal meant for the scrapped Fire Lands. It was repurposed in the main game for the Pyrozite Castle on Fire Haven and Fire Oasis.
Krystillium An unused Crystal with an unknown purpose. It resembles the Pyrozite Crystal, but colored blue. Lore-wise, it was used with Bubblerite by the Colossals to create Monculus using the Life-Formula method. It was repurposed in the main game for the Krystillium Castle on Ethereal Island and Magical Sanctum.

Candelavra's Original Elements[]

Candelavra was originally going to have the elements of Air (), Plant (), Earth (), and Fire ().[citation needed] These elements later became Tring's and Candelavra was given the Water () Element. This might explain why Fire Haven looks the way it does (having many candles and wax), since Candelavra would have been the Quad-Elemental of the Island if its elements had not changed. Later on, however, Candelavra still ended up on the Island through the Fire Expansion.

Wishing Well[]

The Wishing Well was conceptualized as a Utility or Production Structure for the Water Lands of The Continent early into the development of Dawn of Fire, but remained scrapped long after the game's launch. It was later implemented into the design of Mirror Water Island, and eventually brought back with a new mechanic similar to the Wondermine.

The ruins of another unused Structure can also be seen near the Wishing Well on Mirror Water Island. It has green branches with blue bubbles at the tip of each branch. Its name has not been officially revealed.

Deconstructor[]

The Deconstructor was conceptualized as a Utility or Production Structure for the Earth Lands of the Continent early into the development of Dawn of Fire, with the utility of being able to split Crafting Items into their base materials, but it was later scrapped. It was later implemented into the design of Mirror Earth Island. Since the Wishing Well also went through a similar process, the Deconstructor could make a return in the future.

Upcoming Island[]

An upcoming island for Dawn of Fire was teased on the Map. The icon for it featured a piece of text underneath claiming it to be "Coming Soon", with a picture of a Mammott, and an Ethereal-like purple background.

In the 2018 Extra Life livestream, Big Blue Bubble claimed that a new Island would not be coming to Dawn of Fire anytime soon, as they were focusing on other things. They claimed "Just stay tuned", and they also confirmed that it is "an unexplored part of the Monster World". The teaser was later removed from the map in Version 2.0.0.

Wubbox producing Diamonds[]

In an early Wubbox bio, the Monster is said to be able to produce Diamonds:[citation needed]

Eureka! The Wubbox awakes! As it turns out, this extraordinary Electric elemental is vital to the life processes of the colossal island monsters that the other singing denizens call home. The shrunken monsters used to powerup the creature report that the inside is as fun as any playground they've ever seen, so they are happy to stay indefinitely.

The Wubbox's unique energies can conjure Diamonds out of thin air! The robotic chirps and whistles it uses to express itself can take some getting used to, but eventually become a beloved and inextricable part of the island's tune. Besides, it's all the rage in "current" music.

This may have possibly inspired the Wublins having a chance to produce Diamonds, since they were created by Wubbox.

Ethereal Monsters in Dawn of Fire[]

According to a Discord message from Dave Kerr, Ethereal Monsters were intended to appear in Dawn of Fire. Whether they have been scrapped entirely or will be used in the future is currently unknown.
