My Singing Monsters Wiki
Dawn of Fire

Before a young Riff is mature enough to enter a symbiotic kinship with a living instrument, it is first given an artificial guitar to watch over. This lifelike guitar not only train Riffs to be effective caregivers to their future organic instruments, but also provides them with a stimulating toy to fidget with when they get fussy.
Young Bio

Despite the effortless cool that all Riffs seem to exude, these feathery frontmen actually care quite deeply about their appearance. Their fashionably unkempt hair is a testament to this vanity. It is thus unsurprising that when a Riff begins to molt, it relies on its stringed companion for frequent flattery.
Adult Bio

This Riff returned from the Prism Gate forever changed! It seems like the portal may have glitched and accidentally crossed over with the realm of Helmoth instead; besides having a new guitar (apparently on loan from a certain Grimnir Brawlfist), this influence of the Rage Brewer is evident in all aspects of this rocker's new appearance - extraordinary!

Breeding[]

Riff can be bred with the combination of Air, Earth, Water, and Cold. The possible combinations are:

Of these, Congle+Noggin and Quibble+Drumpler are the best combinations, as they have the shortest wait times per failed attempt.

Riff can also be bred in breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a Riff in a breeding failure include:

Out of these, Riff + Noggin is the best combination, as Noggin has the lowest breeding time out of the other Single-Element Monsters.

Feeding Monsters[]

Exclusively on Continent, Riff will request for Crafting Items that are the products of Structures. If you cannot give the Monster the Crafting Items it requires, you can click the New Order button. After a 15 minute wait, it will ask for a new combination of Crafting Items.

Rewards[]

When given the wanted Crafting Item, like any Monster, it will reward you Coins (DoF) Coins, XP (DoF) Experience and will progress the Monster to the next Level. You can also give a Monster any other Crafting Item, but you won’t receive Coins or Experience for doing so.

Teleporting[]

Riff can be teleported to Cave Island when fed to level 20 for a reward of 7Diamonds (DoF) at a cost of 15,000Coins (DoF). Teleport time for Riff is 1 day and 16 hours.

Prismatic Variants[]

During limited time events when Prism Gate is open and Riff is available for transformation on Outer Islands, an adult Riff can be transformed into one of six different colored variants.

Miscellaneous[]

Notes[]

  • Riff represents the Air Element.
  • Riff was the final Natural Quad from the original game to be added to Dawn of Fire.
    • It was also the final Natural Quad to receive its Prismatic variants.
  • Riff, along with Spunge, were the first monsters since Deedge and Sneyser to be released as a pair.
  • If you look closely during Riff's mute animation, the guitar's eye opens from time to time, technically making Riff the only monster in Dawn of Fire that open its eyes while muted.
  • The guitars used by the Prismatic Riffs are based on the guitar used by the character Grimnir Brawlfist in Power Chord, another game developed by Big Blue Bubble.
  • Adult Riff's profile shows that its wings are not over the border. This was later changed.
