You may know that the crooning of a Whaddle sounds sweeter and softer than marshmallow. But did you know that the Rare Whaddle, in pale marshmallow-white, actually has spongy spots that squish just like the sweet treat? Shockingly, these poke-a-dots are not named for Rare Whaddle's talent for dancing the polka, but rather for their velvety texture. This dancing Rare IS a polka master, though, using its pronged ears to dance with two partners at once.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Whaddle is a Triple-Element Rare Fire Monster that is found on Fire Oasis and Amber Island. It was added on April 24th, 2020 during Version 2.3.9. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Glowl and Toe Jammer. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes long. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Rare Whaddle has decent coin production, though Sneyser is recommended.

On Amber Island, Rare Whaddle can only be obtained by successfully evolving a Common Whaddle that is at least level 4 via the Crucible. Its successful evolution time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes long.

See Whaddle.

Breeding[]

Rare Whaddle can be bred the same way as a Common Whaddle. The combinations are:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Whaddle may fail, and give a Rare Whaddle as a result instead of the Common Whaddle. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare versions of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Whaddle and a Common Whaddle together. The outcome will always be a Whaddle and if a Rare Whaddle is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Whaddle, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 unique Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Whaddle:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Rare Whaddle's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Rare Whaddle's happiness.

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Whaddle eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Whaddle eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Whaddle is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • Rare Whaddle is currently the only Rare Monster to have a unique singing animation, as it briefly hops near the end of its first singing animation.
    • This is not counting Rare Wubbox, who has a different song all together to Wubbox.
    • Rare Toe Jammer on Bone Island also had a unique singing animation when it first released, being an early version of the final Toe Jammer animation on Bone Island. That, however, has been fixed.
