My Singing Monsters Wiki

Subtlety is out, flashiness is in! Eschewing the more subdued coloration of its Common incarnation, the Rare Thwok is the poster-Wublin for 'campy' presentation. A uniformly neon green tongue with taste buds the size of warts is equally well-suited to producing jawsome bass lines, and additional tuning pegs on its head translate to even greater musical prowess.

Description[]

Rare Thwok is a Rare Wublin exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added alongside Anglow, Pinghound, Rare Brump, Rare Zynth, Rare Poewk, and Rare Dwumrohl on April 5th, 2023, during version 3.9.0. As a Rare Wublin, it is obtained by evolving an awakened Common Thwok by spending 7 Keys (Keys) to unlock its evolutionary potential, which then can be evolved by zapping all the required eggs of Rare Monsters into it.

Powering Up[]

Rare Thwok is obtained by evolving its Common variant using 7 Keys (Keys). Then, you will be able to fill up the Wublin again, using eggs of the Rare variants of the Common Monster. There is no time limit to fill up the inventory. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Wublins, Rare Thwok can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 100. Rare Thwok requires a total of 1,500 for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Rare Thwok's inventory with 1 per element of each egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Income[]

Main article: Wublins#Income

Rare Thwok, like other Rare Wublins, can produce between 48,750 and 97,500 Coins, Treats9,000 and Treats18,000 Treats, and Shards180 and Shards360 Shards. As a Rare that takes up a 2x2 grid space, Rare Thwok produces 3 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.

Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so up to three Rare Thwoks will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.

Currency Distribution[]

Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution

The currency for Rare Thwok is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.

Rare Thwok's Currency Distribution
Coins Treats Treats Shards Shards Diamonds Datapoints
30.27% 32.50% 32.30% 4.93% 1,480

Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.

Polarity[]

All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Additionally, the Common and Rare variants can be used instead for Epic Wublins, but the effect will be 66% and 33% as strong respectively. Rare and Epic variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.

The following Wublins affect Rare Thwok's polarity:

Rare Thwok also affects the polarity of the following Wublins:

Notes[]

  • Much like the Common Thwok, the dot on Rare Thwok's hand returns. However, the dot is orange instead of red.
    • This was later fixed in an unknown update, most likely alongside Thwok.
  • Even though the other Rare Wublins halve their inventory, Rare Thwok temporarily doubled the amount of Rare Shellbeat's needed. However, this has since been fixed, and Rare Thwok now requires just one Rare Shellbeat.
  • Rare Thwok was the last Rare Wublin to not have either of the Monsters in its polarity released.
