My Singing Monsters

Hold on to your toes... the Rare T-Rox has survived. Previously believed to have disappeared ages ago, it resurfaced when a primordial goop was spilled onto a clutch of eggs. The purpose of its stubby forelimbs has been hotly debated, but clapping along can be safely ruled out. Nonetheless, this Rare is possessed of an indomitable spirit and always innovates shrewd beats with its reinforced jaws and paws. Clever Monster.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare T-Rox is a Triple-Element Rare Monster. It was added on June 19th, 2015 during Version 1.3.4. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding or by purchasing from the StarShop. Its breeding combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 10 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare T-Rox still does not have high Coin production.

Breeding[]

Rare T-Rox can be bred the same way as a Common T-Rox. The combination(s) are:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common T-Rox may fail, and give a Rare T-Rox as a result instead of the Common T-Rox. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare versions of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare T-Rox and a Common T-Rox together. The outcome will always be a T-Rox and if a Rare T-Rox is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare T-Rox, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare T-Rox:

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare T-Rox eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare T-Rox eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare T-Rox is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Possible Monster Names[]

  • The name 'Bobasaur' is likely a reference to the Pokémon Bulbasaur.

Notes[]

  • There is a real-life reference to the two "stubby forelimbs" of the Rare T-Rox that were probably inspired by the Tyrannosaurus once again, because the said dinosaurs did have small "arms" that served unknown purposes.
  • The quotes "Clever Monster" and The Rare T-Rox has survived" in its description are references to the first "Jurassic Park" movie and its sequel, "The Lost World", respectively. This is in light of the fact that the Rare T-Rox was released on the same weekend "Jurassic World" opened in North America.
  • Rare T-Rox's leg crystals derived from early concepts of Common T-Rox.
  • Rare T-Rox and Rare Deedge are the most needed Rare Monsters to wake up Rare Wublins (11 in total (12 if counting Rare Monculus)).
