My Singing Monsters Wiki

If you're wondering - no, that's not a Playphid resting on the Rare Squot... it's a Slapscallion! But the general idea is practically identical. This Rare Magical and its pint-sized partner are very alliaceous in appearance, and the similarities don't end there - they give off a wonderfully oniony aroma as well! Before you ask - no, no one has had the gumption (or the foolishness) to inquire whether they taste like onions as well. As far as having 'layers' is concerned... well, this Monster would certainly like to think so, in the figurative sense. The truth is that there isn't a ton of nuance when it comes to the Rare Squot - squot you see is squot you get.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Squot is a Double-Element Rare Magical Monster. It was added alongside Bogle on June 25th, 2025, during version 4.8.4. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding, in which the combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 12 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Squot still does not have high Coin production.

On Magical Nexus, Rare Squot is obtained by Transposing by spending 10 Diamonds () once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 1 day, 6 hours, and 30 minutes long. Unlike Faerie Island, Rare Squot does not produce Currency on Magical Nexus.

Breeding[]

Rare Squot can be bred the same way as a Common Squot. The combination is:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Squot may fail, and give a Rare Squot as a result instead of the Common Squot. This includes all of the breeding combinations that cannot ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare variants of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common variant. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Squot and a Common Squot together. The outcome will always be a Squot and if a Rare Squot is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Squot, like all Rare Magicals are only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Squot:

Squot

Bloofi Tree
(level 12)

Ockulo Tree

Striking Bulbs

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Squot eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Adult Scaratar

Adult Loodvigg

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Squot eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Squot is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • Rare Squot was the last Rare Magical Monster to be released on Faerie Island.
    • This makes Faerie Island the first Magical Island to have Rare forms of the 15 base Monsters.
  • Rare Squot's design is onion-like, since it released two days before National Onion Day.[1]
