By tilting its flat-topped head backwards, the jazzy Rare Sooza can plug up its horn to produce a smoother, more muted sound. Just don't expect any further tonal alteration from the selection of silvery valves that adorn this Fire Rare's instrument; those bits and bobs exist purely to lend Rare Sooza a sophisticated old-school air.

Description

Rare Sooza has a similar body shape to its common counterpart, but has orange colored hair and a silver sousaphone. Unlike the common Sooza, the Rare Sooza's haircut sticks upwards, comparable to a combination between a fruit stick and Bart Simpson. It has a spiky shaped head as opposed to the fluffy ears of its common counterpart. Its arms are striped in a lime and dark green pattern and it has lime fingertips. It has two toes, one lime and one dark green. It also has sharp teeth, only visible when playing its instrument.

Breeding

The Rare Sooza can be bred the same way as a regular Sooza. The combinations are:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a regular Sooza may fail, and give a Rare Sooza as a result instead of the regular Sooza. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare version of any monster can be used for breeding instead of the common version.

Availability

For a list of when this monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Sooza, like all Rare Naturals and Fire Monsters are only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All monsters with a specific element
  • All monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

Likes

Every monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the monster, the monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a monster will still only increase its happiness by 25%. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the monsters. Below are the things liked by Rare Sooza:

Notes

  • The shape of its head and the color of its sousaphone bear a resemblance to the mufflers used in brass instruments to muffle their sound.
    • Alternatively, Rare Sooza's release was quite close to Halloween, which may also explain it's Frankenstein-like head, bolts on its sousaphone and Halloween-like color palette.
  • Rare Sooza is the last new Rare Monster to be first released in 2020.
