By tilting its flat-topped head backwards, the jazzy Rare Sooza can plug up its horn to produce a smoother, more muted sound. Just don't expect any further tonal alteration from the selection of silvery valves that adorn this Fire Rare's instrument; those bits and bobs exist purely to lend Rare Sooza a sophisticated old-school air.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Sooza is a Triple-Element Rare Fire Monster that is found on Light Island and Amber Island. It was added on October 23rd, 2020 during Version 3.0.1. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Flowah and Mammott. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes long. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Rare Sooza has decent Coin production, though Blow't is recommended.

On Amber Island, Rare Sooza can only be obtained by successfully evolving a Common Sooza that is at least level 4 via the Crucible. Its successful evolution time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes long.

Breeding[]

Rare Sooza can be bred the same way as a regular Sooza. The combinations are:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Sooza may fail, and give a Rare Sooza as a result instead of the Common Sooza. This includes all of the breeding combinations that cannot ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare versions of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Sooza and a Common Sooza together. The outcome will always be a Sooza and if a Rare Sooza is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Sooza, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Sooza:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Rare Sooza's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Rare Sooza's happiness.

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Sooza eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Sooza eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Sooza is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • The shape of Rare Sooza's head and the color of its sousaphone bear a resemblance to the mufflers used in brass instruments to muffle their sound. Its description also references this.
    • Alternatively, its release was quite close to Halloween, which may also explain its Frankenstein-like head, bolts on its sousaphone, and Halloween-like color palette.
  • Out of any Rare Monster, Rare Sooza has the shortest release gap between its Common variant's release date and its own, at 27 days.
  • Rare Sooza seems to be based on the Dawn of Fire Sooza design rather than the MSM one.
