My Singing Monsters Wiki

The Rare Quarrister's body is composed of many different types of minerals and is encrusted with unusual crystals normally found all over the multiverse. Even though its individual heads all have different origins, this Earth Boss rocks just as equally as the Common Monster. The Rare Quarrister proudly celebrates diversity and inclusion, and proves that putting heads together with positive energy can achieve great harmony.

How does the Coin production of a Rare Quarrister compare to other monsters? toggle section
The Rare Quarrister is known for its impressive coin production, which is calculated in coins per minute. Factors such as the monster's happiness percentage and level affect this rate. As the level of the monster increases, so does its maximum coin income. Nevertheless, certain monsters, including the Epic variant, surpass the Rare Quarrister in coin production.

What is the breeding combination for a Rare Quarrister? toggle section
To breed a Rare Quarrister, use Monsters that combine the four elements, Plant, Cold, Air, and Earth. Double-Element Monster pairs like Dandidoo and Drumpler, Cybop and Furcorn, or Pango and Shrubb can be used. A higher success rate is achieved with a Triple-Element and Single-Element Monster combination such as Reedling and Mammott, Thumpies and Noggin, PomPom and Potbelly, or Clamble and Tweedle. Breeding a Rare Quarrister with a Common Quarrister is also possible.

Description[]

Rare Quarrister is a Quad-Element Rare Monster. It was added on July 3rd, 2015, during version 1.3.4. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding or by purchasing from the StarShop. Its breeding combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 6 hours, and 30 minutes long. Rare Quarrister has a great Coin production, which can be useful before getting its Epic variant or other Monsters with higher Coin production.

Breeding[]

Rare Quarrister has the same breeding combinations as the Common Quarrister, using Monsters that combine to provide all four Elements, Plant, Cold, Air and Earth without repeating any Elements.

The following pairs of Double-Element Monsters can be used to breed a Rare Quarrister:

Dandidoo
+
Drumpler

Cybop
+
Furcorn

Pango
+
Shrubb

However, the combination of a Triple-Element with Single-Element Monster has a higher rate of success for getting a Rare Quarrister instead of one of the parents as the outcome:

Reedling
+
Mammott

Thumpies
+
Noggin

PomPom
+
Potbelly

Clamble
+
Tweedle
Of these, Thumpies+Noggin is the best combination, as it has the lowest average breeding times in case of breeding failure.

There is also a small chance of producing a Quarrister or Rare Quarrister from a failed breeding attempt, using a Quarrister and a non-Single-Element Monster.

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Quarrister and a Common Quarrister together. The outcome will always be a Quarrister, and if a Rare Quarrister is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Quarrister, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Seasonal Events.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 unique Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Quarrister:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Quarrister eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Quarrister eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Quarrister is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • The rainbow design of Rare Quarrister and how its description mentions diversity and inclusion, notably echo the legalization of same gender marriage in the U.S. the same week that the Monster was released, although this is likely just coincidence.
  • When version 3.0.1 released, the bottom left, top left and top right heads of Rare Quarrister were changed to have unique hair designs that had previously been unused. These hair sprites remained in the game until version 4.0.0, when they were randomly removed from the Monster's design for unknown reasons.
    • When these hair designs were first added, there was a glitch where some of Rare Quarrister's heads, body and arms weren't colored correctly.
  • There is currently a bug when Rare Quarrister is in the "You've hatched..." section, in which the head to the top right disappears.
  • In Rare Quarrister's fan kit image, its knee heads are a different shade of blue than they are in game.
