At one point in time, a Pluckbill sighting was quite rare, and this was especially true of the Rare Pluckbill. The migrations of the Phosphora Titan were more aimless back then, and less directed by the Aurora Monstrails, the stardust of which Pluckbills need to craft their strings. Rare Pluckbills have an additional adaptation: to give their strings a saffron color, they must mix a special residue from the Titan's nodules that is only harvestable with long-term exposure to the Aurora's ultraviolet rays. After becoming aware of this vulnerability to environmental change, Phosphora disciplined itself to follow the Aurora closely, and focused on the conservation of Light Island's native species.

Description[]

Rare Pluckbill is a Double-Element Rare Magical Monster. It was added alongside X'rt, Pentumbra, and Epic Viveine on April 17th, 2024 during version 4.2.1. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding, in which the combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 12 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Pluckbill still does not have high Coin production.

On Magical Nexus, Rare Pluckbill is obtained by Transposing by spending 10 Diamonds once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 1 day, 6 hours, and 30 minutes long. Unlike Light Island, Rare Pluckbill does not produce currency on Magical Nexus.

Breeding[]

Rare Pluckbill can be bred the same way as a Common Pluckbill. The combination is:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Pluckbill may fail, and give a Rare Pluckbill as a result instead of the Common Pluckbill. This includes all of the breeding combinations that cannot ever work in the usual way. In particular:

The Rare variants of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common variant. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Pluckbill and a Common Pluckbill together. The outcome will always be a Pluckbill and if a Rare Pluckbill is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Pluckbill eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Pluckbill eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Pluckbill is not required for the Celestial to ascend.
