My Singing Monsters Wiki

Already respected leaders among their Faerie kin, Rare Pladdies are highly revered for their spiritual connection to the Magical world around them. Through their ancient tradition of kything with the spirits of auld, Rare Pladdie can spin grander, rarer yarns than have ever been heard - as evidenced by the impressive fankle of wooly locks that crown its wee head. This bonnie Boss keeps near-lost histories alive by recounting riveting epics and carrying on the memories of those who came before.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Pladdie is a Quad-Element Rare Magical Monster. It was added alongside Owlesque on March 12th, 2025 during version 4.7.1, though it was first made available on March 19th, 2025. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding, in which the combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 18 hours, and 30 minutes long. As a Rare Quad-Element Monster, Rare Pladdie has excellent Coin production.

On Magical Nexus, Rare Pladdie is obtained by Transposing by spending 40 Diamonds once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 2 days, 12 hours, and 30 minutes long. Unlike Faerie Island, Rare Pladdie does not produce currency on Magical Nexus.

Breeding[]

Rare Pladdie can be bred the same way as a Common Pladdie.

The following pairs of Double-Element Monsters that can be used to breed Rare Pladdie are:

However, the combination of a Triple-Element with a Single-Element Monster has a higher rate of success:

Of these, Clavi Gnat+Noggin is the best combination, as failing and breeding a Noggin lets you retry the combo almost instantly.

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Pladdie may fail, and give a Rare Pladdie as a result instead of the Common Pladdie. In particular:

Breeding a Pladdie with a Drumpler has an increased chance of getting a Pladdie, due to being the breeding combo for Epic Kayna, thus having a higher chance of getting Rare Pladdie. However, this combination may also result in an Epic Kayna if it is available.

There is also a small chance of producing a Pladdie or Rare Pladdie from a failed breeding attempt, using a Pladdie and a non-Natural Single-Element Monster.

The Rare variants of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common variant. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Pladdie and a Common Pladdie together. The outcome will always be a Pladdie and if a Rare Pladdie is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Pladdie, like all Rare Magicals are only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Pladdie:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Pladdie eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Pladdie eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Pladdie is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • Rare Pladdie was first teased in the Magical March Contest 2025 video in the Rare Magical Monsters promotion.
  • The pattern on Rare Pladdie was inspired by Scotch Tape.[1]
    • It being green may also be a nod to the Saint Patrick's Day tradition of wearing green clothing, and those who don't get pinched.
  • To “spin a yarn” means to tell an imaginative yet far-fetched tale about something; based off of its design and its bio, this is something Rare Pladdie does both literally and figuratively.
  • Rare Pladdie's bio contains five words derived from Scottish: "kythe" meaning to communicate with spirits, "auld" meaning old, "fankle" meaning a tangle, "wee" meaning little, and "bonnie" meaning beautiful.
