“ | While still flightless and prone to cold, the Rare Pango is, at the very least, a bit more resourceful than its Common cousin. Using its elongated talons, it carves and shapes blocks of ice to create igloos and to take refuge in during snowstorms. Its ornate crest and patterned plumage are eye-catching, but they do little to improve the low self-esteem shared by all Pangos. | ” |

Breeding
The Rare Pango can be bred using an Air-element monster and a Cold-element monster. The combination is:
Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a regular Pango may fail, and give a Rare Pango as a result instead of the regular Pango. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way. It is easy to tell if an egg contains a regular Pango or a Rare Pango by checking the breeding / hatching time.
The Rare version of any monster can be used for breeding instead of the common version.
Availability
- For a list of when this monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Placing more than one of the same liked item near a monster will still only increase its happiness by 25%. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the monsters. Below are the things liked by Rare Pango:
- Pango (requires level 7)
- Tree Forte Tower (level 17)
- Crumpler Tree (level 19)
- Saggle Tree (level 8) (

Notes
- It is odd to find that a hot environment like Earth Island can still have a Rare Pango (and the regular Pango) clatter their beaks.
