My Singing Monsters

While still flightless and prone to cold, the Rare Pango is, at the very least, a bit more resourceful than its Common cousin. Using its elongated talons, it carves and shapes blocks of ice to create igloos to take refuge in during snowstorms. Its ornate crest and patterned plumage are eye-catching, but they do little to improve the low self-esteem shared by all Pangos.

Description[]

Rare Pango is a Double-Element Rare Monster. It was added on October 31st, 2014 during the 1.3.0 2nd Anniversary Update. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Mammott, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 10 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Pango still does not have high Coin production.

Breeding[]

Rare Pango can be bred the same way as a Common Pango. The combination is:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Pango may fail, and give a Rare Pango as a result instead of the Common Pango. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way.

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Pango and a Common Pango together. The outcome will always be a Pango and if a Rare Pango is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Pango, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Pango:

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Pango eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Pango eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Pango is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • Rare Pangos have the ability to create ornate statues with their talons. This ability is shown in a Rare Solo promotional image in which it carves a statue of Hoola.
    • This is further shown in Rare Pango's ability to create Epic Pangos by giving life to ice sculptures it creates.
