During the era when all of the Colossals were using the pocket dimension as the site of their world-building experimentation, the spirits would gather the requisite materials in jars and vases. In what can now be viewed as a humorous oversight, the same Bubblerite clay that was filling the vessels was also used to craft the vessels themselves; meaning that as the prototype Monculus was receiving the spark of life, that same energy animated the jars and vases as well! And thus, the Rare Monculus was 'born.' Coincidentally, it was also the discovery of Krystillium's ability to alter its plasmic form, which opened up a world of possibility for more advanced crystalline manipulation in the future.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Monculus is a Rare Seasonal Monster that celebrates the Life-Formula season and is found on Ethereal Island, Seasonal Shanty, and Wublin Island. It was added alongside Flasque, Nitebear, Whaill, Rare Scargo, and Epic Bellowfish on December 13th, 2023 during Version 4.1.2. As a Rare Seasonal Monster, it is only available at certain times across all Islands. On Ethereal Island, it is best obtained by breeding Nebulob and Jeeode. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 7 hours, and 45 minutes long. Rare Monculus has an excellent Shard production, only being surpassed by its Epic variant.

Rare Monculus can either be teleported to Seasonal Shanty once fed to level 15, or bred with the same combination as its Common counterpart. Rare Monculus has a decent Coin production compared to other Monsters on Seasonal Shanty.

On Wublin Island, it is obtained by evolving an awakened Common Monculus by spending 12 Keys to unlock its evolutionary potential, which then can be evolved by zapping all the required eggs of Rare Monsters into it.

Breeding[]

Rare Monculus, like all Seasonals, is only available for breeding during short time periods announced in the game. It can be bred in the same way as a common Monculus. The combinations are:

Additionally, on Seasonal Shanty, breeding Monculus with any other Monster can result in a Rare Monculus. In particular:

Monculus + Spurrit is the best combination, as it has the lowest waiting time in case of not resulting in a Rare Monculus. Monculus + Gobbleygourd is also a good combination, but it has a slightly longer waiting time compared to Monculus + Spurrit.

Once a Rare Monculus is obtained, breeding it with a Common Monculus can make it easier to breed another Rare Monculus.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Monculus, like all Rare Seasonals, is only available for short durations during their own season, a weekend Out-of-Season event (6 months apart) and during the Anniversary Month Celebration.

Powering Up[]

On Wublin Island, Rare Monculus is obtained by evolving its Common counterpart using 12 Keys. Then, you will be able to fill up the Seasonal again, using eggs of the Rare counterparts of the Common variant. There is no time limit to fill up the inventory. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like Wublins, Rare Monculus can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 100 Diamonds. Monculus requires a total of 1000 Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Monculus's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Monculus:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Wublin Island, Rare Monculus does not have any likes. Placing these Decorations near Rare Monculus will not affect the Currency it generates. Also, on Ethereal Island, Monculus is only obtainable for a limited time, and it may not be possible to get Rare Monculus to 100% happiness.

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Wublin Island[]

Main article: Wublins#Income

Rare Monculus, like the Rare Wublins, can produce between Coins48,750 and Coins97,500 Coins, Treats9,000 and Treats18,000 Treats, and Shards180 and Shards360 Shards. As a Rare Monster that takes up a 2x2 grid space, Rare Monculus produces Diamonds3 Diamonds. It generates a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. Unlike the Wublins, it is not affected by Polarity.

Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so up to three Rare Monculi will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.

Currency Distribution[]

Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution

The currency for Rare Monculus is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.

Notes[]

  • Like all Rare Aux. Seasonals, Rare Monculus was released 6 months after its Seasonal Event.
  • While you can have many Rare Monculi on Seasonal Shanty and Ethereal Island, you can only have three on Wublin Island, similarly to Rare Wublins.
  • Since Rare Monculus can be evolved at any time on Wublin Island, it is one of two Rare Seasonals, outside of Gold Island, to not be time-limited on an Island. The other is Rare Viveine on Amber Island.
  • Rare Monoculus' color scheme greatly resembles the Titansouls' Wordmark's color scheme. What this may mean or allude to at this time is unknown.
