“ | While its trademark fists remain unchanged, the Rare Knucklehead's exposed tissue sheds some light on the true nature of this pure Magical's morphology. What has the semblance of a wooden mask is actually the Monster's outer skeleton, or cuticle, and behind it lies its true soft-bodied appearance, antennae… and a surprising third eye, capable of limited divination. Wait a minute - this Light-Faerie hybrid has a Bony exterior and Psychic ability? Roll a perception check to try and figure out what's going on. | ” |

Description[]
Rare Knucklehead is a Double-Element Rare Magical Monster. It was added alongside Rare Fleechwurm and Adult Furnoss on January 30th, 2024 during Version 4.1.3, though it was not obtainable until January 31st, 2024. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding, in which the combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Knucklehead still does not have high Shard production.
Song[]
- See Knucklehead.
Breeding[]
Rare Knucklehead can be bred the same way as a Common Knucklehead. The combination is:
Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Knucklehead may fail, and give a Rare Knucklehead as a result instead of the Common Knucklehead. This includes all of the breeding combinations that cannot ever work in the usual way. In particular:
- + Enchantling and Knucklehead
- (Best choice, slight chance of getting an Enchantling.)
The Rare versions of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version.
Availability[]
- For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability
Rare Knucklehead, like all Rare Magicals are only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events.
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Knucklehead:
- Knucklehead (requires level 9)
- Star Rocks (Magical Sanctum) (level 12)
- Directions to Nowhere (level 9)
- Macho Monument (level 23) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Knucklehead eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Knucklehead eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Knucklehead is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]
- Rare Knucklehead was added to the Book of Monsters on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, making it the only Rare Magical that was not added to the game on a Wednesday.
- Rare Knucklehead's bio references the idea of making a "Perception Check," alluding to the popular tabletop-RPG game Dungeons and Dragons. This also references the common counterpart's love of tabletop-RPGs.
- Rare Knucklehead's bio mentions the idea of it “swapping elements”, being a Light-Faerie Hybrid with the physical elements of Psychic and Bone. This is seemingly the first Monster to be stated as such, not counting the intended ones such as the Celestials or Epic Wubbox.
- Rare Knucklehead came out the same time as Adult Furnoss; furthermore, Adult Furnoss requires 2 rare Light Element Doubles to ascend, and Rare Knucklehead is one of the only 2 that was out upon the first available ascension of Adult Furnoss (with the other being Rare Gob). It can be theorized Rare Knucklehead specifically was added to allow players more possibilities when ascending.
