“ | Bearers of the oldest Element of all, Rare Kaynas are an ancient breed from which all their Common cousins have sprung. Their intricate, tattoo-like carvings are bestowed upon them with great honor to represent their impressive age and growing wisdom, eon after eon; you can imagine that the oldest Rare Kaynas are quite a sight! Yet no matter how old the original Fire Rare gets, the burning glow of the Fire Element never dims. | ” |

Description[]
Rare Kayna is a Single-Element Rare Fire Monster. It was added on November 25th, 2020 during Version 3.0.1. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding two Triple-Element Monsters that have the Fire Element, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 8 hours long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Kayna still does not have high Coin production.
On Amber Island, Rare Kayna can only be obtained by successfully evolving a Common Kayna that is at least level 4 via the Crucible. Its successful evolution time is 8 hours long.
Song[]
- See Kayna.
Breeding[]
Rare Kayna can be bred with any combination of Triple-Element Monsters that include the Fire Element:
- Barrb
- Repatillo
- Floogull
- Woolabee
- Wynq
- Whaddle
- Fiddlement
- TooToo
- Sooza
- Rooba
- Periscorp

- Clavi Gnat
- Ziggurab
- Banjaw
- Uuduk
- Thrumble
Like all other Rare Single-Element Monsters, it cannot be bred through breeding failure.
Note: It is advised to use these breeding combinations on their respective Magical Islands due to the decreased breeding time compared to the standard Triple-Element Fire Monsters.
- + TooToo and Fiddlement - Light Island
- + Rooba and Periscorp - Psychic Island
- + Bridg-it and Clavi Gnat - Faerie Island
- + Uuduk and Banjaw - Bone Island
The Rare versions of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Kayna and a Common Kayna together. The outcome will always be a Kayna.
Availability[]
- For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability
Rare Kayna, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:
- All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
- All Monsters with a specific element.
- All Monsters with a specific theme.
- A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.
In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.
The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Kayna:
- Tweedle (requires level 4) (, )
- Potbelly (level 9) (, , )
- Noggin (level 1) (, , )

Note: Rare Kayna only likes Yelmut, PongPing, and Candelavra on Amber Island, and not on Light Island, Faerie Island, and Fire Haven respectively. Also, on Amber Island, all of Rare Kayna's likes are only obtainable for a limited time, with the exception of Kayna. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Rare Kayna's happiness.

Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

- Despite the bio stating that Rare Kayna is an ancestor of the Common Kayna, implying that Kayna evolved from Rare Kayna, Common Kayna is ironically able to evolve into Rare Kayna through the Crucible.
- Rare Kayna is the only Rare Single-Element Monster that likes a Monster that isn't a Single Element Monster.
- Rare Kayna has a slight design difference on Amber Island when compared to other Islands, with its mouth being placed lower on its face.
