The striped subspecies of Hawlo, seeking to make the dimly-lit ambience of Bone Island more comfortable for all Monsters, crafts its disguise from the Azurewood tree. Staring at the grain of the wood produces a mesmerizing effect that mimics the actual blue sky far above, but staring too long induces a suggestible, hypnotic state in some. Description

Rare Hawlo is a Double-Element Rare Magical Monster. It was added alongside Ffidyll on March 2nd, 2022 during Version 3.4.0. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding, in which the combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 12 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Hawlo still does not have high Coin production.

On Magical Nexus, Rare Hawlo is obtained by Transposing by spending 10 once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 1 day, 6 hours, 30 minutes long. Unlike Bone Island, Rare Hawlo does not produce currency on Magical Nexus.

Breeding

Rare Hawlo can be bred the same way as a Common Hawlo. The combination is:

• + Kayna and Clackula

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Hawlo may fail, and give a Rare Hawlo as a result instead of the Common Hawlo. This includes all of the breeding combinations that cannot ever work in the usual way. In particular:

• + Plinkajou and Hawlo
  • (Best choice, slight chance of getting a Plinkajou.)
• + Noggin and Hawlo
  • (Good choice, if Noggin eggs can be safely disposed of to Nursery, Wublin or Celestial, chance of getting an Uuduk.)

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Hawlo and a Common Hawlo together. The outcome will always be a Hawlo and if a Rare Hawlo is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Earning Rate and Maximum Income

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Hawlo eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Hawlo eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Hawlo is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

• Rare Hawlo is the first Double-Element Rare Magical to be released on Bone Island.
• There used to be a typo in the Rare Hawlo's bio where it said "mimcs" instead of "mimics".
• Rare Hawlo is currently the only Rare Monster to like the Cold Globe.
• Unlike its Common variant, Rare Hawlo doesn't have stage fright and appreciates other Monsters looking at its Azurewood. This has been confirmed in Episode 5 of Quick Questions with Monster-Handler Tyson.
