My Singing Monsters

Rare Deedges are so handy! They've got a knack for invention, and relish every opportunity to take something apart and put back together again in a completely different way. Miraculously, the objects they recraft still work, even after reassembly! Such is the case with their state-of-the-art gilded amp sets, which blast out beats just as well as common Deedges' regular ice(boom)boxes. Just goes to show that there's more than one way to skin a Stritch.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Deedge is a Quad-Element Rare Monster found on Cold Island. It was added on March 27th, 2015 during Version 1.3.2. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding or by purchasing from the StarShop. Its breeding combination is the same as its Common variant. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 6 hours, and 30 minutes long. Rare Deedge has a great Coin production, which can be useful before getting its Epic variant or other Monsters with higher Coin production.

Breeding[]

Rare Deedge has the same breeding combinations as the Common Deedge, using Monsters that combine to provide all four elements, Air, Plant, Water and Cold without repeating any element.

The following pairs of Double-Element Monsters can be used to breed a Rare Deedge:

However, the combination of a Triple-Element with Single-Element Monster has a higher rate of success for getting a Rare Deedge instead of one of the parents as the outcome:

Of these, Thumpies+Toe Jammer is the best combinations, as it has the lowest average breeding times in case of breeding failure.

On Shugabush Island, Rare Deedge can either be bred, purchased with diamonds or teleported from Cold Island (not Gold Island) once it reaches level 15. Unlike Cold Island, it cannot be bred using Quibble and Furcorn.

There is also a small chance of producing a Deedge or Rare Deedge from a failed breeding attempt, using a Deedge and a non-Single-Element Monsters (including Shugabush on Shugabush Island).

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Deedge and a Common Deedge together. The outcome will always be a Deedge, and if a Rare Deedge is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Deedge, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Deedge:

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Deedge eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Deedge eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Deedge is not required for the Celestial to ascend.
