My Singing Monsters Wiki

Common Cybops might idolize the Ethereal Jellbilly, but the Rare Cybop is no such admirer! It stalwartly marches (or hovers) to the beat of a different drum, transfiguring its mechanical body to match ancient cave drawings of early Cybops. Non-conformity comes with a price, though: the jostling of its twin engines sometimes results in motion sickness, hence its greenish complexion.

Quick Answers

What is the significance of the Rare Cybop's greenish complexion? toggle section
Rare Cybop's greenish hue is attributed to motion sickness, caused by the shaking of its dual engines. This occurs as it non-conformingly modifies its mechanical form to resemble ancient Cybop cave drawings.

Description[]

Rare Cybop is a Double-Element Rare Monster. It was added on December 5th, 2014, during version 1.3.1. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Noggin, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 10 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Cybop does not have a high Coin production.

Song[]

See Cybop.

Breeding[]

Rare Cybop can be bred the same way as a Common Cybop. The combination is:

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Cybop may fail, and give a Rare Cybop as a result instead of the Common Cybop. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way.

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Cybop and a Common Cybop together. The outcome will always be a Cybop and if a Rare Cybop is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Cybop, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Seasonal Events.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 unique Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Cybop:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Cybop eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Cybop eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Cybop is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Notes[]

  • In the Steam version and since 3.7.0 of the mobile version, Rare Cybop uses Epic Cybop's mouth. When its mouth opens to sing, it uses the correct mouth, causing it to switch mouths back and forth.
    • This has since been fixed in 4.1.0, alongside its eyelids being red like the Common Cybop's instead of green.
  • As seen in the above gallery, Rare Cybop's design was based on a concept version of Cybop. This is also referenced in Rare Cybop's in-game bio.
  • The cave drawings referenced in Rare Cybop's bio are also mentioned in adult Cybop's bio from Dawn of Fire. Cybops from the Dawn of Fire had drawn these blueprints on walls, but didn't have the technology/know-how to pull off such a feat at the time.
  • In the game, Rare Cybop used Cybop's eyelids, which are colored orange, while in the Fan Kit, they are green. This was later fixed.
