As if Brump could get any grosser... presenting the Rare Brump! As before, its Zapped egg parentage is evident in its physical manifestation, but additional quirks have developed as well. The skin of the Rare Brump is coated in a noxious venom, and it's believed that this meant to be an aposematic warning, a form of advertising that an animal is not worth eating. Trust us, Rare Brump, no one is trying to eat you.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Rare Brump is a Rare Wublin exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added alongside Anglow, Pinghound, Rare Zynth, Rare Dwumrohl, Rare Poewk, and Rare Thwok on April 5th, 2023 during Version 3.9.0. As a Rare Wublin, it is obtained by evolving an awakened Common Brump by spending 2Keys to unlock its evolutionary potential, which then can be evolved by zapping all the required eggs of Rare Monsters into it.

Powering Up[]

Rare Brump is obtained by evolving its Common variant using 2Keys. Then, you will be able to fill up the Wublin again, using eggs of the Rare variant of the Common Monster. There is no time limit to fill up the inventory. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Wublins, Rare Brump can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 100Diamonds. Rare Brump requires a total of 400Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Rare Brump's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Income[]

Main article: Wublins#Income

Rare Brump, like other Rare Wublins, can produce between Coins48,750 and Coins97,500 Coins, Treats9,000 and Treats18,000 Treats, and Shards180 and Shards360 Shards. As a Rare that takes up a 2x2 grid space, Rare Brump produces Diamonds3 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.

Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so up to three Rare Brumps will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.

Currency Distribution[]

Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution

The currency for Rare Brump is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.

Rare Brump's Currency Distribution
Coins Coins Treats Treats Shards Shards Diamonds Diamonds Datapoints
33.20% 31.15% 32.95% 2.70% 1,557

Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.

Polarity[]

All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Rare variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.

Notes[]

  • Like its Common variant, Rare Brump resembles the Monsters required to activate it. Its Furcorn headstalks now resemble Rare Furcorn's, and its lower body is now a yellowish-orange to resemble Rare Fwog.
    • Unlike its Common variant, Rare Brump distinctively has two colors throughout its body, due to Rare Furcorn and Rare Fwog having different colors from one another, unlike Common Furcorn and Fwog which have more similar colors.
  • Rare Brump is the first Rare Wublin to be a vocalist.
  • Rare Brump has the lowest Key cost to be evolved out of all of the Rare Wublins.
  • Rare Brump's coloration and feet could be a reference to a part of the Questions segment in My Singing Monsters Live - Episode #052, in which Monster-Handler Matt discussed the possibility of variants of the Wublins existing, imagining a hypothetical scenario in which the Wubbox creates a "very unique kind of Brump" that "is orange" and has "Tweedle feet".
  • When PongPing was teased in the loading screen, many fans thought it was Rare Brump.
    • Coincidentally, Rare PongPing was originally going to be released on April 5th, but it was delayed due to the Facebook problem. Instead, the first 5 Rare Wublins released, including Rare Brump.
