“ | Rare Boskus has an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit and a brain always bubbling up with new ideas. This bright Rare firmly believes in putting its best hoof forward - especially during its pitches to other Monsters! To look its best, Rare Boskus regularly pampers itself with a flashy nosey-pedi. Its manicured nasal digit looks particularly striking when it's turning the pages of its jam-packed notepad, or pointing out the key features in its latest presentation. | ” |

Description[]
Rare Boskus is a Double-Element Rare Fire Monster. It was added on February 14th, 2020 during Version 2.3.7. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Mammott and Kayna, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 13 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Boskus still does not have high Coin production.
On Amber Island, Rare Boskus can only be obtained by successfully evolving a Common Boskus that is at least level 4 via the Crucible. Its successful evolution time is 13 hours and 30 minutes long.
Song[]
- See Boskus.
Breeding[]
Rare Boskus can be bred the same way as a Common Boskus. The combination is:
Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Boskus may fail, and give a Rare Boskus as a result instead of the Common Boskus. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way. In particular:
- + Sneyser and Boskus
- (Low chance of getting a Sneyser)
- + Blow't and Boskus
- + Pladdie and Boskus
- + Mammott and Boskus
The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Boskus and a Common Boskus together. The outcome will always be a Boskus and if a Rare Boskus is available at that time, it may result from this combination.
Availability[]
- For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability
Rare Boskus, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:
- All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
- All Monsters with a specific element.
- All Monsters with a specific theme.
- A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.
In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.
The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 unique Monsters on Amber Island).
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Boskus:
- Boskus (requires level 9)
- PongPing (level 9) ()
- Tiawa (level 9) ()
- Bowhead (level 9) (,)
- Dragon Tower (level 20) (, , )
- Spurrit Statue (level 15) (, , )
- Trumplite (level 11) (,, , )
See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.
Note: Rare Boskus only likes Tiawa and PongPing on Amber Island, and not on Light Island and Faerie Island respectively. Also, on Amber Island, all of Rare Boskus's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Rare Boskus's happiness.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Boskus eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Boskus eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Boskus is not required for the Celestial to ascend.
