Description[]
Quibble is a Double-Element Monster that is first unlocked on Cold Island. It is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Toe Jammer. By default, its breeding time is 8 hours long. As a Double-Elemental, Quibble does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first Quibble rewards the player with 10,000 Coins (
). Additionally, placing a Quibble on Gold Island for the first time rewards the player with 1,000,000 Coins (
).
Song[]
Audio sample:
Instrument: Grand piano
Quibble's contribution to an Island's song is the sound of an upright grand piano. On Cold Island, it plays the same bass notes as the Thumpies, but not the exact rhythm. Each head is responsible for playing the notes on the instrument. One plays the lower notes, while the other one plays the higher notes, yet the difference is an octave.
VSTs[]
- Main article: VSTs
Virtual Studio Technology (VST) is a plugin format that allows audio software to integrate with digital audio workstations (DAWs). VST plugins come in two main forms: instruments (VSTi), which generate sounds, such as synthesizers and sample libraries, and effects, which process audio, through tools like reverb or distortion. Individual sounds within these plugins may be referred to as patches, presets, samples, or articulations, depending on the plugin. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VST plugins to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters. Note that many pages incorrectly label patches as "SoundFonts", an unrelated audio format.

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Quibble:

Scups
(level 7)

Fossil-osaurus
(level 17)

Trumplite

Castanevine

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Quibble eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.
Quibble |
|
Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Quibble eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]
- Quibble's name comes from the English verb "to quibble," meaning to argue insistently about an irrelevant subject.
- Quibble is the only non-vocal Double-Element Natural Monster with the Water Element.
- In the YouTube trailer for Fire Oasis, it is possible to see a Quibble from the back, from the side, flying, and even with its wings extended. The trailer also showed that Quibbles tend to grab objects with their beaks, though sometimes with their wings.
- Quibbles do have legs, and they simply tuck them in for comfort.[1]
- Quibble and Rare Dandidoo have been confirmed to be related.[2]
- Quibble plays throughout the entirety of the most songs in the original game, with four songs: Cold Island (along with the Castle), Air Island (along with T-Rox), Gold Island (along with Bowgart, Clamble, and Epic Wubbox), and Mirror Cold Island (along with the Castle).
- Quibble received the Air Island Critter on Shugabush Island during Echoes of Eco 2023.
- Quibble is the only Double-Element Natural Monster to take up a 3x3 grid.
- Quibble is the only Monster to have both of its Rare and Epic variants related to Dawn of Fire.
- Quibble is the only Natural Monster on Shugabush Island to not be required for revitalizing Kayna on Amber Island.
- When Composer Island first released, Quibble used to have a different sound. In 2.0.4, it was later changed to its current sound.
- There is currently a visual bug where Quibble does not show its playing animation on the half of its third track on Mirror Cold Island.
