Description[]

The Quarritz Crystal is the last Outer Island Crystal and overall, the forty-first Crafting Item to be unlocked in the game, along with Pumpkin, Vegetable Juice, Stonyx Crystal, Polished Stonyx Crystal, Carved Stonyx Crystal, Polished Quarritz Crystal, and Carved Quarritz Crystal. Its Trading Post Price Range is 630 - 1,050 Coins (Coins). It is unlocked at Level 41.

Uses[]

Quarritz Crystals are needed to craft Polished Quarritz Crystals in the Jeweler, which requires 2 Quarritz Crystals.

It is also used to enhance the effectiveness of Prisments in the Prism Gate on Cave Island. Once a Prisment is selected in the Prism Gate, you can add a Quarritz Crystal as well, which will increase your chances by 5% on top of the base chance and prisment chance.

Obtaining[]

Quarritz Crystals are obtained similarly to Prisments. When getting a Monster back from the Prism Gate on Cave Island, there is a chance you will get a Quarritz Crystal. The rate at which this happens is currently unknown.

No Experience is earned when collecting Quarritz Crystals.

Skyship Requirements[]

As crystals, the Quarritz Crystal is not required in any Skyship orders whatsoever.

Strategy[]

No strategy is required when attempting to collect Quarritz Crystals as it is entirely based on luck.

Notes[]

  • Quarritz was originally planned to be added much earlier, but was scrapped. It was found in Dawn of Fire's game files and was officially confirmed by Monster-Handler Matt during the first Ockulo Grove AMA, along with Nebulox and Aurorium.
  • Quarritz was released in Dawn of Fire and My Singing Monsters on the same day.
  • Quarritz released in My Singing Monsters with it being the material used for Bone Island's Crystalline Castle.
  • Its design is the same as the decorative crystals scattered around its home island.
  • Its name is based on the quartz crystal, as it bears a strong resemblance to it.
    • Its name may also be based on the monster Quarrister, who has similar looking crystals on its body to the Quarritz Crystal.
