| “ | The rookie PongPing is more of an enthusiast than an athlete - using the special paddles it totes around to bat playfully at its inflatable cheeks. However, practice makes perfect, and with the right training and attitude, this spunky Monsterling might one day harness the 'Fire down below' to achieve sports stardom... | ” |

| “ | When it comes to athletic training regimens, the seasoned PongPing spares no expense - devouring only the most health-conscious and sensible snacks (at breakneck speeds, mind you) and tirelessly whiff-whaffing with any Monster foolish enough to challenge it to a game of table tennis. When opponents are scarce, the PongPing is a master of self-directed play, and will happily exercise its musical muscles to keep its cheeks limber. | ” |

| “ | This PongPing returned from the Prism Gate forever changed! Typical of the capricious portal's penchant for anatomical modification, the inflatable cheeks of this Fire Monster were altered at the molecular level to become its new eyes! Manifesting a desire to vacation in tropical climes, its trademark paddles are now palm leaf fans and its hide covered in equatorial vegetation - extraordinary! | ” |

Description[]
PongPing is a Quad-Elemental Monster that is first available at Level 7. It is best obtained by breeding Sooza and Noggin, Shrubb and Boskus, Furcorn and Stogg, or Drumpler and Flowah. Its breeding and incubation time is 1 day long. It can be teleported to Cave Island once fed to level 20.
Song[]
Audio sample:
Instrument: Throat flicking
Performer: Michael Hammond
True to its name, PongPing smacks its paddles on its inflated cheeks to make a sound that is similar to ping pong balls impacting a table. It changes pitch by either enlarging, or shrinking, its mouth.
Breeding[]
PongPing is bred with the combination of Plant, Earth, Cold, and Fire. The combinations are:

Miscellaneous[]
Notes[]
- PongPing's name comes from the game ping pong, which is the main aspect of the monster.
- PongPing was originally planned to be a Quad-Element Monster for Water Island in the original game, but was later replaced by Shellbeat.
- Coincidentally, both can teleport to Cave Island at Level 20.
- PongPing was the first and only Monster to be released in Dawn of Fire and My Singing Monsters at the same time.
- This also makes it the first new Monster since Sneyser to be released on three Islands at once (specifically, the Continent and Cave Island in Dawn of Fire, and Amber Island in the original My Singing Monsters game).
- PongPing was the last Natural Quad to be released in Dawn of Fire.
- When it was first released, Incisaur and Tiawa weren't playing at all and Cybop played incorrectly on the Continent, and Candelavra's playing animation was sped up out of sync with its sound on Party Island.
- These have since been fixed with the release of Version 2.9, but the young Candelavra's idle animation on the Continent is still slower than the island's BPM.
- PongPing was the first non-Prismatic addition to Dawn of Fire in nearly 2 years.
- PongPing is the only Quad on Cave Island without the Air Element.
- The paddles on young PongPing resemble the blue and red banners used in The Colossingum.

- PongPing was the last Quad-Element Monster to receive its Prismatic variants.
- PongPing was also the last Monster without the Water Element to receive its Prismatic variants.
- Blue Prismatic PongPing was teased in the Prismatic Praxis promotion during the Festival of Yay Junior, which some fans believe to be a Prismatic variant of Tuskski.
- PongPing was the second Monster released after the Prism Gate to receive its prismatic forms, the first was Tiawa. This would later be followed by both Tuskski and Bowhead.
- Prismatic PongPings' icons in the Prism Gate and the Collection show the palm leaf fans they are holding being green, though when seen in-game and the Fan Kit, they are gray.
- The prismatic variants of PongPing are the first Monsters to be added to Dawn of Fire in 2024.
- PongPing was the last instrumental Monster to be added to Cave Island.
- Curiously, PongPing does not emit rest notes while muted in this game.
- Young PongPing's official portrait shows it that is brighter. It was later changed to a darker color.
