| “ | There's a persistent cliché that you can either be a music fan or a sports nut, but not both - and the PongPing proves otherwise! Even though its vermiform body is better suited to standing activities like table tennis, the Monster also loves embarking on cross-island marathons, no matter how long they take. To keep its spirits up on the way, the PongPing uses its paddles to practice a series of rhythmic rudiments on its inflatable cheeks. When intense weather or fatigue threaten to discourage, the Monster likes to remember the optimistic adage its forebears always used to say: "Life is like a music box of Chokkolits... wait, why are there Chokkolits in a music box? What a mess! Oh well, let's get started on clean-up." We know, it's kind of convoluted. | ” |

Song[]
Audio Sample:
"Instrument": Throat flicking
Voice actor: Monster-Handler Mike
PongPing produces a sound which is reminiscent of ping-pong balls being bounced on a table, or throat flicking, and it even changes pitch. It plays quite rapidly, even on Amber Island, where it produces a descending series of notes.
Breeding[]
Unlike in Dawn of Fire, PongPing cannot be bred. Instead, it must be purchased from the Market. On Amber Island, it must be purchased as an inactive Vessel and revitalized by zapping eggs.
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by PongPing:

Revitalizing[]
On Amber Island, PongPing must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive PongPing by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Monsters on Amber Island, PongPing can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40
. PongPing requires a total of 1,520
for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a PongPing's inventory with 1
per egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Notes[]
- PongPing's name comes from the game ping-pong, which is the main design aspect of the Monster.
- PongPing was originally planned to be the Quad-Element Monster for Water Island, but it was later replaced by Shellbeat.
- Its existence was confirmed during the AwShux Meet and Greet.
- Its original design was described as "gangly, spherical head, ping-pong paddle hands, and splayed-toed".
- The design was revealed in a DeBunker video by the official YouTube channel.
- Similarly to Floot Fly, PongPing was a scrapped Natural Quad. However, unlike Floot Fly, PongPing has remained a Quad, with its Air and Water elements being replaced with Cold and Fire.
- PongPing is the only Monster to be released in both Dawn of Fire and My Singing Monsters on the same day, and this will likely stay true for the forseeable future.
- A teaser on June 7th, 2022 was released, simply stating, rather randomly, that Monster-Handler Tyson wanted to play ping-pong. PongPing was then shown in a short video released a day after the teaser, shortly before it came out in-game, where it won the match.
- This teaser has also been mentioned in other videos on the My Singing Monsters YouTube channel, as it is a prime example of a Monster traveling to the Human World to spend time with the Monster-Handlers.
- The quote in PongPing's description, "Life is like a music box of Chokkolits... wait, why are there Chokkolits in a music box? What a mess! Oh well, let's get started on clean-up." is a spoof of the iconic "Life is like a box of chocolates" quote from the Comedy Drama film Forrest Gump.
- PongPing is the first and currently the only Monster to have the Plant Element on Faerie Island.
- PongPing, Incisaur, and Tuskski were available from the start of Cloverspell 2023 (March 8th) to the start of Perplexplore 2023 (May 17th). This 70-day-long period was the longest time that a group of Vessels has ever been available (not counting Kayna's Vessel).
- Monster-Handler Mike was the person who originally had the idea for PongPing’s sound.[1]
