Song
Audio Sample:
Instrument: Bagpipes
VST: Kontakt 6 Factory
Pladdie plays the bagpipes by sucking in air, then blowing it out, through its pipes.
Breeding
The Pladdie can be bred using monsters that combine to provide the following elements, Earth (), Cold (
), Fire (
) and Faerie (
) without repeating any.
The following pairs of Double Element Monsters can be used to breed a Pladdie:
However, the combination of a 3-element with a 1-element monster has a higher rate of success:
Out of the breeding options, Noggin + Clavi Gnat would be the most efficient due to the lowest breeding time if you fail to breed Pladdie.

Pladdie
and Drumpler
Breeding a Pladdie with an Drumpler has an increased chance of getting a Pladdie, due to this also being the combo for Epic Kayna. In order to make it harder to get Epic Kayna, the combo has a higher chance to give Pladdies as breeding failures. This still happens if Epic Kayna is available or not.
Likes
Every monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the monster, the monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a monster will still only increase its happiness by 25%. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the monsters. Notes
- Pladdie’s name is likely a portmanteau of the words Plaid (Plaidie), and laddie. Both words have close connections to Scotland which is where the bagpipes are from. The former referring to a garment worn over the shoulder and one who wears said garment being known as a plaidie.
- The Pladdie's description is written in a way that resembles a stereotypical Scottish accent.
- The Pladdie was the first Quad Element Monster in the original game to take up a 2 x 2 grid, instead of the standard 3 x 3.
- Counting Dawn of Fire, there were four Quads that were 2 x 2 before Pladdie: Edamimi, Krillby, Yelmut, and Incisaur. This does not include Dawn of Fire Monsters that are 2x2 as young Monsters.
- One of the possible names for the Pladdie is Highlandrew, in reference to The Highlands, another name for Scotland.
- The Pladdie is the only Quad-Element Magical to be based off the instrument it plays.
- Pladdie's bio may reference that it tells stories about Gigacheeps and Glubbers.
