Description[]
Pladdie is a Quad-Element Magical Monster that is found on Faerie Island and Magical Nexus. It was added on December 11th, 2019 during Version 2.3.5. It is best obtained by breeding Clavi Gnat and Noggin. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 8 hours long. Pladdie has a high Coin production on Faerie Island, comparable to PongPing and Krillby. The Goal for placing your first Pladdie rewards the player with 100,000 and 2 .
On Magical Nexus, Pladdie is obtained by Transposing by spending 8,000,000 once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 2 days, 2 hours long. Unlike Faerie Island, Pladdie does not produce currency on Magical Nexus.

Pladdie makes the sound of bagpipes.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]
Pladdie can be bred using Monsters that combine to provide the following elements, Earth (), Cold (), Fire (), and Faerie () without repeating any.
The following pairs of Double-Element Monsters can be used to breed a Pladdie:
However, the combination of a Triple-Element Monster with a Single-Element Monster has a higher rate of success:
- Of these, Clavi Gnat+Noggin is the best combination, as failing and breeding a Noggin lets you retry the combo almost instantly.
- + Pladdie and Drumpler
Breeding a Pladdie with a Drumpler has an increased chance of getting a Pladdie, due to this also being the breeding combination for Epic Kayna. In order to make it harder to get Epic Kayna, the breeding combination has a higher chance to give Pladdies as breeding failures. This still happens whether Epic Kayna is available or not.
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Pladdie:
- Wimmzies (requires level 9)
- Wild Bagpipe (level 7)
- Wubbox Stockpile (level 20)
- Pipes of Cicado (level 10) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Pladdie eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Pladdie eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs.

Notes[]
- Pladdie's name is likely a portmanteau of the words Plaid (Plaidie), and laddie. Both words have close connections to Scotland, which is where the bagpipes are from. The former refers to a garment worn over the shoulder and one who wears said garment being known as a plaidie.
- Pladdie has somewhat of a Scottish theme.
- It is based on a bagpipe.
- Pladdie's description is written in a way that resembles a stereotypical Scottish accent.
- One of the possible names for Pladdie is Highlandrew, in reference to The Highlands, an area in the north of Scotland.
- Another possible name is "Haggus", which is a misspelling of haggis, a type of Scottish pudding made from sheep.
- Pladdie was the first Quad-Element Monster in the original game to take up a 2 x 2 grid, instead of the standard 3 x 3.
- Counting Dawn of Fire, there were four Quads that were 2 x 2 before Pladdie: Edamimi, Krillby, Yelmut, and Incisaur. This does not include Dawn of Fire Monsters that take up a 2 x 2 grid as young Monsters.
- Pladdie is the only Quad-Element Magical to be based off the instrument it plays.
- Pladdie's bio may reference that it tells stories about Gigacheeps and Glubbers.
- Faerie Island was going to have the Air Element before the Faerie Element, therefore Pladdie would have been Krillby instead.
- This also explains why Pladdie sounds similar to Krillby on Cloud Island.
- However, as of the Fire Expansion, Krillby is now on Faerie Island with Pladdie.
- At the very beginning of Pladdie's playing animation, its mouth disappears for a single frame.
- Being the Quad-Elemental of Faerie Island, Pladdie represents the Faerie Element most prominently in its appearance.
- Pladdie's bodily structure looks similar to the Bone Element Monster, Banjaw. However, them being related was confirmed false in the "Magical Nexus Behind the Trailers video."
- As seen in the trailer for Magical Nexus, it and Pladdie seem to have some sort of rivalry. This was a reference to the popular fan theory that they were related.
- Its Magical Nexus track, along with Floot Fly sounds a lot like Mythical Island's main melody.
