The monster was introduced on June 19th, 2019, during the 2.3.0 Fire Oasis update. Phangler can be obtained through breeding Toe Jammer and Kayna, with a default breeding time of 10 hours.

Phangler is a Double-Elemental Monster that is first unlocked at level 5. It is best obtained by breeding Toe Jammer and Kayna. Its breeding and incubation time is 8 hours. It can be teleported to Cloud Island once fed to level 15.

Phangler sings "Na na na na NA na! Na na na na Na NA Na nah. Na na na na na nah..." in an autotuned fashion.

On Cloud Island, developing its second microphone seems to make its voice more echoey. According to the official soundtrack, Phangler sings "Na na na no, na na na no, na na na nooo." except at the point between the 1st and 2nd na, the same sound is copied.

Feeding Monsters[]

Exclusively on Continent, Phangler will request for Crafting Items that are the products of Structures. If you cannot give the Monster the Crafting Items it requires, you can click the New Order button. After a 15 minute wait, it will ask for a new combination of Crafting Items.

Rewards[]

When given the wanted Crafting Item, like any Monster, it will reward you Coins, Experience and will progress the Monster to the next Level. You can also give a Monster any other Crafting Item, but you won’t receive Coins or Experience for doing so.

Teleporting[]

Phangler can be teleported to Cloud Island at level 15 for a reward of 4 Diamonds. The teleportation time for Phangler is 10 hours.

During limited time events when Prism Gate is open and Phangler is available for transformation on Outer Islands, an adult Phangler can be transformed into one of six different colored variants.

Phangler's name is a portmanteau on the words Microphone and Anglerfish. It might also come from the word "dangle" which is what its microphones do.
Despite Phangler being based on a female anglerfish, it has a low-pitched voice.
As a baby, Phangler's voice doesn't have any echo effect attached to it because it only has one microphone. However, as an adult, it grows a microphone and gains the effect.
