Paths are a type of Decoration, and this page is a list that shows all of the Paths in the game. Paths can be placed underneath other Decorations, Monsters, and Structures. However, they cannot be placed under immovable items, like the Castle or Obstacles that have not been removed. They also cannot be placed underneath other Paths. Their designs vary between Islands, and are generally designed to fit the theme of that Island.
Path Painting[]

Path Painting is a feature in My Singing Monsters used to efficiently decorate your Islands with Paths. It was first introduced in version 4.4.0, on September 4th, 2024. Path Painting becomes available after completing the tutorial at level 5. With the release of the Path Painting feature, two new Paths were added to every Island that already had Paths.
Use[]
- Once the tutorial is completed, you can access the Path Painting menu by selecting a Path, and then pressing the "Paint" button.
- Once in Path Painting mode, you have the ability to resize, move, flip, place, pack, and sell Paths. Once selecting a certain edit mode, any further selecting of Paths either already placed or not yet placed will either modify or place the Paths.
- Also in Path Painting mode, you have the ability to change the visibility of certain things on your Island to make it easier to decorate. These things are Monsters, Decorations, Structures, Obstacles, and the Island's grid.

Notes[]
- The Bubblerite Path (
) appears to be used for the background of the Monster Portraits.
- The line "...but don't go sticking any acorns in there, just to be safe" in the Icecrackle Path's (
) bio is a reference to the Ice Age movies, in which the character Scrat accidentally causes natural disasters by trying to bury an acorn in ice cracks.
- The Dandifloret (
) is an Air Island path, but ironically, Dandidoos cannot be placed on Air Island.
- Despite being a Path, the Barrockade (
) is also listed in the Market as a Tree Decoration.
- When Paths were first made able to be placed beneath other objects, the Barrockade still had collision with Monsters, Structures, and non-Path Decorations. This meant at the time, a Barrockade could be placed atop another Path.
- The Barrockade (
) used to give 500 Experience (
) when placed, making it the only Path Decoration to give Experience. This was fixed in a later update.
- In the Wirecross Path's (
) description, the line "But that's just a theory..." is most likely a reference to a popular catchphrase from the YouTube series Game Theory.
- The Purpureus Bubblerite Path (
) is re-used for the back of the cards in the Memory Game.
- When update 4.4.0 initially released, the Photoreceptor Path's (
) design was changed to be a teal version of the Runic Path. As noted in the 12th anniversary edition of My Singing Monsters Live[1], this was a bug and was shortly fixed.
The incorrect sprite that the Photoreceptor Path's sprite was changed to in version 4.4.0
- In the Endotherial Path's (
) description, the "(or BBB for short)" part is a reference to Big Blue Bubble, the developers of the game.
- In the Monstrochondrial Path's (
) description, the "Monstrochondria are the powerhouse of the cell" part is a reference to the expression "Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell."
- A few hours after their release, the Reticulated Path's (
) and Bubble-Vessel Path's (
) sprites were switched, most likely by accident, and was later fixed.
- The Bubble-Vessel Path (
) is the last Decoration unlocked via increasing player level as of January 14th, 2025.
- When it was first released, the Platform Path (
) mistakenly had the same appearance as the Glassblown Path (
). This was fixed a few hours later.
- The Fritform Path and Platform Path's (
) names and descriptions seem to have been swapped with each other at some point. This has yet to be patched.
- All of the Paths on Mythical Island reference the PlayStation Vita in some way.
- The Elcric Path, Elgnairt Path, Erauqs Path, Ssorc Path, Norewop Path, Repmub Path, and Rekaeps Path (
) all reference different buttons or parts of the PlayStation Vita, namely the circle, triangle, square, cross, and power on buttons, and then the bumper and speaker.
- Their names are also the names of the buttons and parts in reverse.
- The Elcric Path, Elgnairt Path, Erauqs Path, and Ssorc Paths (
) have the Buy price of 2011 Coins (
), which is a reference to the year 2011, when the PlayStation Vita was launched.
- The Norewop Path's (
) buy price, 2014 Coins (
), is a reference to the year 2014, when My Singing Monsters was launched ("powered on") on PlayStation Vita.
- The buy price of the Mythical Moon Path (
), 2019 Coins (
), is a reference to the year 2019, when the previously PlayStation Vita-exclusive Mythical Monsters - G'joob and Yawstrich - and related Decorations made their way into the main version of the game.
- The Elcric Path, Elgnairt Path, Erauqs Path, Ssorc Path, Norewop Path, Repmub Path, and Rekaeps Path (
- The name and description of the Eksboks Path (
) refer to the Microsoft Xbox brand and games console. The Path additionally closely resembles the logo used for the Xbox that released in 2001.
- The Telepathic Path (
) was first teased in the MindBoggle 2024 login screen.
- The Glowcircle Path, Glowtarget Path, and Glowpatchy Path's (
) descriptions about beings who might want to climb Enchantler's body is most likely a reference to Shadow of the Colossus, as in the game, the player character (Wander) must climb the sides of Colossi in order to reach the glowing weak spot in their fur.
- The first sentence of the Glowcircle Path, Glowtarget Path and Glowpatchy Path's (
) bios were changed in an update, originally being "The Titan-Who-Would-Be-Colossal's antlers aren't the only thing coursing with Monstromantic energies."
- When the Cloverspell Path (
) first released, its sprite was missing.
- The Contemporary Plant Sigil Path (
) used to be the only Path on Amber Island that a Monster liked, being Viveine, until Viveine's Amber Island likes were changed on August 29th, 2024.
