Music is the language of all Monsters, with most expressing themselves instrumentally or through indecipherable - at least to us - vocal sound effects. The Parlsona, however, has been further gifted with the ability to sing in actual words, making it the de facto voice of the Monster World. The Parlsona loves keeping its multicolored talons well filed and it goes through lip balm like no one's business.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Parlsona is a Werdo available on Plant, Air, and Water Islands. It was added alongside Tawkerr on March 14th, 2017 during Version 2.0.4. Parlsona is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 100 Relics. By default, its incubation time is 8 hours long.

The Werdos are one of the best Coin producers on all Islands they inhabit, only being surpassed by Rare Wubbox. Though the Werdos have the advantage of taking up significantly less space.

Song[]

Plant Island Plant Island[]

Audio sample:

Voice actress: Sarah Parsons

Like Tawkerr, Parlsona sings about the plants on Plant Island.

Verse One

"Every Monster knows... how the plants grow!
And every Monster cares!
And they know how they shape and they feed them!
And they keep them alive!
Let's watch plants grow!
Let's watch plants grow!"

Chorus

"Everything here is alive!
Everything here is alive!"

[Tawkerr sings Verse Two]

Chorus (x2)

Bridge

"A note becomes a chord, becomes a phrase, becomes... a melody!
And a note... becomes... a Monster!"

Chorus

Verse Three

"You plant a seed, it settles in... and then it bursts!
And then it splits, and makes a twin!
Then, there were more.
Look, across the landscape, and you'll find:
It's just a bunch of plants!"

Air Island Air Island[]

It sings about going to Air Island. It has just one verse on Air Island and sings at the very end of the song (adding a new verse to it).

Verse One

"And now that you have landed together we will share.
A carefree life for Monsters, because here we walk on air!"

Chorus

"You can see me in the the sky and yet you don't know how to fly.
And I don't want to be here... alone.
Take a chance, just take a step, and take a leap of faith with me.
Can't you feel it? It's in the air!"

Water Island Water Island[]

[Intro]
(Maggpi sings)
Right here I've found where I belong
It's all around
Can you feel the sound

[Chorus]
I'm alright now.
Cool, Calm, Clear like water.
I'll Make It somehow
I'll Go with the flow like water
I'm alright now.
Cool, Calm, Clear like water.
I'll Make It somehow
I'll Go with the flow like water

Breeding[]

Parlsona cannot be bred. Instead, you can purchase it in the shop for 100 Relics.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Parlsona:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Parlsona or when Parlsona and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Parlsona's likes as well:

Notes[]

  • Parlsona's name is a combination of Parsons, the surname of its voice actor Sarah Parsons, and "sona" meaning sound in multiple languages. It may also come from "parler" or "parlare", respectively the French and Italian words meaning "to speak", and or "persona".
  • Parlsona's third verse is identical to Tawkerr's second verse on Plant Island.
  • The Plant Island verse where Parlsona and Tawkerr talk about a twin plant alludes to Potbelly, which is a plant that has two heads.
    • Parlsona is also the only Werdo to not have clawed feet.
  • Not including Composer Island and The Colossingum Monsters, Parlsona and Stoowarb have the most tracks in the game, with a total of 7 tracks. This record has been beaten on Air Island.
