“ | The Nucleus resides at the very center of the Magical Nexus - the intersection of multiple worlds and whims. Another of the Stair Shaper's creations, this Structure serves as a conduit of the Magical energies that accumulate as more Monsters are Transposed to the Nexus. It's able to accomplish this by absorbing their energy signatures and converting them into a tangible form. If its shape looks familiar, that's because the diverse Star Rocks of the Monster World are actually the Stair Shaper's handiwork as well; left behind as monuments to 'first contact' and obtainable only through Starpower, the essence that amasses when harmonies from differing worlds are sung. | ” |

“ | Just as a chord in music theory can be 'augmented,' so too can the Magical Nexus's Nucleus Structure. This is accomplished with a technique akin to (but not exactly like) Transposition - one major difference is that the augmentation requires Shards, which we thought could only be produced in the pocket dimension... and rather than 'lifting' the whole item, only part of it gets lifted... ?.. it gets kind of complicated to explain (this is true of music theory in general), so perhaps it's better to just smile and nod. The important thing you need to know is that the Structure's ability to display unified Monster populations with glowing Rhombi is still intact - now with extra sparkles. Who doesn't like sparkles? | ” |

Description[]
The Nexus Nucleus is a unique Structure found on Magical Nexus. It is used to store Currency produced from all of the placed Magical Monsters into one Structure. It can produce five types of currencies: Shards, Treats, Diamonds, Keys, and Wildcards. By completing Monster collections on the Island, more advanced currencies become available as possible rewards. These collections are split into Single-Elementals, Double-Elementals, Triple-Elementals, and Quad-Elemental Monsters. There is also a Rare collection broken into the same categories. This will also be the same once Epic Magicals release. The "Collection" button can be clicked for help in keeping track of the completion status of the various collections on the Island.
Possible Rewards[]
A "complete collection" means having every single Monster with a specific number of elements (Singles, Doubles, Triples, and Quads; for example, the completed Single-Elemental collection would be Theremind, Fluoress, Floot Fly, and Clackula). Having any complete collection on the Island allows the Nexus Nucleus to generate either 1,000 or 50,000 every 12 hours. The Nexus Nucleus will generate more currency with a full collection of Doubles, Triples, and/or Quads. Only five collections can be completed as of 4.5.0. Once all of the Rare Double, Triple, and Quad Magical Monsters are discovered and Epic Magical Monsters are added, even more rewards will be added to the Nexus Nucleus.
Once a reward is generated, the Nexus Nucleus is able to immediately generate more currency. This makes it possible to receive multiple rewards at once if the rewards were generated before collecting. The base Nucleus can hold at most three currency rewards at once, and the Augmented Nucleus can hold at least four (more confirmation needed). The currencies held can be different than each other.[1] By observation, Shards are produced at the highest probability.
Collection table[]
As new variants are discovered, the following table will be expanded to accommodate for them. Although the game's graphics seem to indicate that Wildcards can be produced, they are currently unobtainable as of version 4.5.0
Chances[]
The chances of receiving Currencies produced are consistent no matter how many collections you have.
Collections data points. | Shards | Treats | Keys | Diamonds | Wildcard |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
500 | 74.63% | 18.42% | 5.17% | 1.78% | N/A |
Strategy[]
In order to maximize the potential of the Nexus Nucleus, begin by acquiring the Single Element Magicals and then proceed to obtain the Quad Element Magicals. This approach is more efficient as Quad Element Magicals are generally faster to transpose compared to the twelve Two-Element and twelve Three-Element Magicals.
Once you've transposed all 32 Common Magicals, upgrade the Nexus Nucleus to the Augmented Nucleus. After the upgrade, you only need to transpose the four Single Element Rare Magicals, as these are the only ones that adds one more collection to the Nexus Nucleus.
Missing Rares[]
In the menu of the Augmented Nexus Nucleus, the player can see how many Rare Monsters they have transposed over time. As of Version 4.5.0, 20 unique Rare Monsters can be obtained. However, there are 12 more Rare Monsters left, and as more become available, more collections can be completed, improving and unlocking new rewards.
Epic variants of the Magicals have been hinted to be released in the future, but there are currently no Epic Magicals.

Notes[]
- Despite only being 2x2, Monsters cannot be placed directly behind the Nexus Nucleus. This is because the Island's grid has 3 "missing" spaces behind the Structure, which are likely there because Monsters would not be easily visible if placed directly behind it, and since the Nexus Nucleus is immovable, there would be difficulties with selecting the Monster to move it out of the way.
- The Nexus Nucleus is the third Structure to produce a currency besides Experience. The first was the Bakery and the second was the Mini-Mine/Maximum Mine.
- Of these three Structures, the Nexus Nucleus is the only one that can produce multiple types of currencies. It is also the only one that is available upon unlocking an Island.
- Technically, the Crucible can also produce currency through Relic Retrieval, and the Nursery can produce currency through selling monsters.
- Prior to June 10, 2024, the Nexus Nucleus was completely devoid of animations. On that day, a small file update added an "idle" animation and a "glowing shards" animation which at the time only visible through the info menu.
- This was mostly put in-game on June 18, 2024, along with the collection menu.
- According the 4.2 Live Showcase, the Monster-Handlers noticed the similarity in the design to the Star Rocks and added the reference later in development.
- There was a bug in 4.5.0 where the rocks in front will not light up no matter how many complete collections you have. however, it still continues to produce Currency as usual.
