My Singing Monsters

The little-understood Nebulob is one of the few Monsters born without a predisposition to music. Instead, it is something that the Nebulob works on all its life, constantly researching new and exciting genres to learn from and experiment with. The elaborate exo-suit it dons aids in the creation of its own special style, a dulcet mix of machine and spirit. If pressed, the Nebulob will confess its favorite musical genre as 'Rhythm & Ooze.'

Audio sample:

Voice actor: Dave Kerr (Ethereal Island), Celestyn (Plasma Islet, Mech Islet)

On Ethereal Island, Nebulob sings "Shaba daba daba dep a adep-dawm , shaba deba daba dep a adep-dawm".

On Plasma Islet, Nebulob sings " Shaba-daba yada dada DAH, dah. Shada-dadep adep da YAA-aa. Shaba-daba yapa-papa PAH, Shana-naya, Shana-daba dada adep, adep pip-pow. Its next track then sings "Shaba daba" with varying volume.

On Mech Islet, Nebulob sings “Shabada-dabada, shabada dow” in varying pitches.

Nebulob sings gibberishly with a futuristic-sounding tone, similarly to Cybop, but with a more clear and much faster singing voice, with a singing timbre similar to Phangler. It might sound like it is whispering at one point.

Nebulob can also be bred with a Single-Element Ethereal Monster if you already own it.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Nebulob:

Notes[]

  • Nebulob's name is likely a portmanteau of "nebula", a cloud of dust in outer space, which is similar to what is inside its head and arms, and "blob", referencing the Monster's blob-like head.
  • There is a glitch when using the Buyback feature that will make repurchased Nebulobs disappear after leaving Ethereal Island.
  • Nebulob's eyes are completely two-dimensional; when it closes them, they appear to be gone.
  • Nebulob's bio states that its favorite music genre is "Rhythm and Ooze", which is a reference to the music genre rhythm and blues.
  • In the Life-Formula 2024 trailer, Nebulob was seen without the torso part of its suit. Its body underneath the mech suit appears to be identical to one of its eyes. This mistake was made canon in the June 2023 My Singing Monsters Live episode.
    • This also occurred in the Life-Formula 2024 Handler Short.
  • In a video posted by the My Singing Monsters Youtube channel called Department of Monstrous Anomalies - "Beached Thing", Nebulob's voice synthesizer and body shell are found ditched at a beach, buried in sand. One major point made during that video is that Nebulob weighs approximately 285 pounds or 129 kilograms.
  • As of Mech Islets release, Nebulob is the first and only Double-Element Ethereal to appear on multiple Ethereal Islets.
    • It is also currently the only Double-Element Ethereal to only be on the currently released Ethereal Islets, meaning it will not be on any Ethereal Islets in the future.
  • If not counting The Colossingum, Nebulob is currently tied with Ghazt, Reebro, Whisp and Arackulele for taking the longest time to appear on a new Island, with 11 and a half years passing in the time between its respective additions to Ethereal Island and Plasma Islet.
