“ | In the Monster World, the moon is a central piece of imagery for the concept of fantastical travel and far-fetched aspirations. As such, it's no surprise that Mythical Island, the reification of the desire to assemble with one's kin, is so lunar-focused. The Lunapparatus, the site's most prominent landmark, is crafted from Hummatite, an 'impossible' substance that cannot occur naturally in the main dimension. With sufficient concentration and nourishment, Mythical Monsters can embark on a one-way journey here via the arcane art of dreamcraft. Here, they greet the personification of the power of dreams itself, the clever Cataliszt, who is essential in manifesting their wildest dreams in reality as fanciful 'Dreamythicals.' | ” |

About[]
Mythical Island is a teleporting Island unlocked after purchasing Fire Oasis.
It hosts all Mythical Monsters together in a single Island. When a Mythical Monster reaches Level 15, it can be teleported to this Island. They will reset their Level, and get sent to the Nursery, and will also stay there permanently, unless sold.
On this Island, Mythicals found on the Natural and Fire Islands can breed with the exclusive Dream Single-Elemental Cataliszt to create brand new 'Dreamythicals' exclusive to Mythical Island. Each Mythical has its own Dreamythical counterpart.
Mythical Island was released on September 28th, 2022 in Version 3.7.1.
Song[]
Composer(s): Tom Meikle
Mythical Island’s song alternates between two main speeds: The first and fourth major portions of the song are in 165 beats per minute in 3/4 time, and the second portion and the transitional parts are in 110 beats per minute in 4/4 time. The third major portion has Monsters playing in both tempos, creating a polyrhythm. The song is in the scales of D harmonic major, D harmonic minor, and D Lydian towards the end.
Mythical Island has an ambience that consists of wind and a bird's flapping wings. It shares this sound with Amber Island.
Song Table[]
This is a chart that shows where each Monster plays in the song. Each part is 16 beats long. The number next to each Monster indicates which track is being played at each part.

Castle[]
- Main article: Castle
To be placed on an island, each Monster requires a specific number of beds. For Natural Monsters, this is equal to the number of elements that Monster represents. Ethereal, Supernatural, Legendary, Seasonal, and Mythical Monsters each have varied bed requirements. Upgrade the Castle to unlock more beds.
Sound[]
The Castle also contributes to Mythical Island's song. It makes a bass sound.

Strategy[]
While the song of the Island is crucial, users may also want to use some of these numbers to help with planning which monsters to feed first and make 100% happy first, as well as plan frequency of coin collection. The numbers below are as follows:
Rate | Rate of income per bed at level 15 and at 100% happy |
Max | Maximum income per bed at level 15 |
Time | Time to maximum income at level 15 and at 100% happy (shown as Hours : Minutes : Seconds) |
It should be noted that Rate is halved and Time is doubled for 0% happy.

Upcoming Monsters[]
- Main article: Upcoming Features
Missing Rares[]
More Rare Dreamythicals will be added to Mythical Island in future updates. Currently, 5 Double-Element Mythicals lack Rare variants. Some of these Monsters may release during Seasonal Events or Anniversary Month.
Missing Epics[]
As revealed in the Anniversary Month 2024 kickoff video, Single Mythical Element Mythicals will be getting Epic forms, with G'joob and Yawstrich being the first ones releasing on September 4th, 2024. It is reasonable to believe that the rest of the Mythicals will obtain Epic forms as well.

Notes[]
- Mythical Island is the second Island to update multiple Monster bios at release, with the first being Seasonal Shanty.
- However, for a time period after this, Yawstrich's bio still referenced it as only being able to inhabit Air Island. This has since been fixed
- Every breeding combination on Mythical Island requires one specific Monster + a Monster teleported from another Island. This makes it the second Island in the game to work that way, with the first one being Shugabush Island.
- Due to this, it is unknown how Epic Dreamythical Monsters will be bred, as there will be only 7 possible breeding combinations on Mythical Island with 15 Epic Mythical Monsters. It might be the same case as Epic Viveine on Shugabush Island, which has the same combination as both Epic Quibble and Shugitar on that island. This would lead to every combination having at least 3 unique successful results (a Common/Rare Dreamythical, an Epic Mythical, and a different Epic Dreamythical), with one of them potentially having a 4th one for Epic Cataliszt.
- If Epic Cataliszt releases, this would make it the first Epic to have its own Common counterpart as part of its breeding combo.

- Mythical Island is the only Island to have only two Elements, yet still have the ability to breed Monsters together.
- Mythical Island is one of two Islands to only have Single and Double-Element Monsters. The other is Ethereal Island.
- Even though Mythical Island is in a different dimension (known as the Dreamspace) and the Monsters do not produce Shards, the Island is placed between both Pocket Dimension Islands (as well as after Ethereal Workshop) on the carousel map.
- On the October 2022 MSM Live, its placement was explained to be because of the Monsters' home Islands, with Single-Element Ethereals coming from the Natural Islands, Mythicals coming from both the Natural and Fire Islands, and Single-Element Magicals coming from the Magical Islands.
- On the Island icon on the map, the critter is facing the left. In all other instances, however, it is facing the right.
- When Mythical Island was first introduced, it had one of each main instrument type: String (Cataliszt), Woodwind (G'joob), Brass (Strombonin), Percussion (Sporerow), Vocal (Yawstrich), and Electronic (Castle Bass).
- In the Mythical Island trailer, Cataliszt created three constellations in the sky. The leftmost one turned out to be alluding to Cherubble, the middle one to Hyehehe, and the rightmost one to Anglow.
- The reason there was no constellation for Buzzinga was because its Ultimate Creator opted out and the Monster-Handlers decided to put it up to community polls to determine its characteristics.
- Mythical Island is neither a Titan nor Colossal, as confirmed by Monster-Handler Matt during the 2022 Wrapup. It is an artificial construct in the likeness of an Island like Seasonal Shanty and Wublin Island.
- With the release of Version 3.8.0, Yawstrich's song in the final verse was changed so that it only plays twice, instead of the previous four times.
- Mythical Island is the first Island with a Breeding Structure to not feature a Seasonal Monster in any way.
- Mythical Island is the only Island where every purely vocal Monster (Yawstrich, Bleatnik, and Cranchee) gets at least 1 verse where no other vocal Monster is playing.
- Mythical Island is the first and currently only island to have a verse where every Monster plays a track that is only heard in that verse and nowhere else.
- Though located on the Monster World moon on the Torus map, a note next to it reveals creative liberties were taken for its location since it's "neither real nor unreal", meaning it's not actually on the moon.
- However, in the Feast-Ember 2024 Part 2: Electric Gobbaloo trailer, we see that Mythical Island was, at least during the time period the trailer takes place in, in the same direction as the moon.
- With the release of Version 4.0.0, Mythical Island's Extravagant Castle was changed from 60 Beds to 75 Beds, and its Paradise Castle was changed from 90 Beds to 120 Beds. This is likely due to the fact that if every Mythical Monster were to have a Rare variant, it would take up 102 beds.
- Mythical Island only has 5 of the 15 of its Monsters being vocalists (Yawstrich, Hyehehe, Bleatnik, Wheezel and Cranchee), making it the Island with the lowest number of amount of vocalists in the game.
- Magical Nexus has a slightly higher number of vocalists compared to Mythical Island, but its vocalist-to-instrumentalist percentage (18.75% (6 out of 32)) is lower than Mythical’s 33.33% (5 out of 15), making Magical Nexus the Island with the lowest amount of vocalists.
- G'joob and Bleatnik, along with Yawstrich and Sporerow, are the only Mythical-Dreamythical pairs to play together in the song.
- Excluding Hyehehe and Buzzinga, all of the Monsters on Mythical Island have some sort of blue color on their bodies.
- Coincidentally, said Mythicals are the ones to be on an island that lacks the Water Element, and in some Water Elementals, such as Bowgart or Mimic, the blue part of their bodies is how the Water Element is represented in those monsters.
- However, thanks to the Fire Expansion, Buzzinga now shares an island with a Water Elemental.
- Coincidentally, said Mythicals are the ones to be on an island that lacks the Water Element, and in some Water Elementals, such as Bowgart or Mimic, the blue part of their bodies is how the Water Element is represented in those monsters.
- Mythical Island is the only Island to feature its Critter on its map icon.
- Mythical Island is the only teleporting Island to not have a Seasonal.
- Just like Seasonal Shanty, eggs cannot be zapped from Mythical Island, due to the oneric energies of the island interfering with doing so. As such, any Mythical Eggs required for Adult Vhamp's inventory must be bred on the Natural, Fire, and Mirror Islands.
- Before it was used to make Rare Cataliszt, the now destroyed Lunapparatus had the Dream element sigil.
