Mythical is an element in My Singing Monsters that is manifested by Yawstrich, G'joob, Strombonin, Cherubble, Hyehehe, Anglow, Buzzinga, and the Dreamythicals, and is represented by Mythical Island. It, along with the Dream Element, are part of the Mythical Class of Monsters. The element was introduced on August 12th, 2014, exclusively for the PS Vita version, and then later to the main version on September 4th, 2019 during Version 2.3.2. The Mythical Element is unlocked at Level 9.
Monsters with this Element are likely to look whimsical, and may be saturated or desaturated. The existence of the Mythicals is sometimes questioned, with some Monsters believing they aren't even real. Some Mythicals enjoy seclusion, and thus they are rarely sighted. All Mythicals also have a connection with the Monster World moon, which is where Mythical Island is said to be.

- The Mythicals were designed in multiple different ways. G'joob and Yawstrich were originally exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game, and were designed in 2014. They were later added into the main game in 2019. Cherubble, Anglow, and Hyehehe were designed by Ultimate Creators who pledged for the Creator Experience. Strombonin and Buzzinga were originally meant to be designed by Ultimate Creators, but were instead designed by the community through polls during Month of the Mythical. All Dreamythicals were designed as counterparts for the Mythicals.
- All Single-Element Mythical Elementals have 2 Triple-Elementals as their breeding combinations.
- All of Epic Wubbox's Monster likes are the Mythicals for each Island it is on. For example, Plant Island Epic Wubbox's Monster like is G'joob, while Cold Island Epic Wubbox's Monster like is Strombonin.
- The symbol for the Mythical Element resembles the symbol for the song "doO-eNDay" from Thumpies.
- When the Mythical element was added to the mobile version in Version 2.3.2, the appearance of the Mythical Element icon was changed from
to . This stylistic change of elements was previously done for other elements in Version 2.0.0, but the Mythical Element never received this update because the PS Vita version also did not receive that update. - According to the Mythical Moon Path, the two moons of the Mythical sigil represent the curious nature of its Monsters of 'belonging' to more than one world.
- In the PS Vita version of MSM, the Mythical class doesn't say "Mythical", but instead says "Playstation® Vita Exclusive".
