My Singing Monsters is a franchise of My Singing Monsters and My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, as well as games based upon them. It was first developed from the making of the game My Singing Monsters, in September 2012. Since then, it has grown, adding new features to the game, expanding to games based upon the original game, and to official My Singing Monsters merchandise. The popularity of the game also created a My Singing Monsters fan community, which includes fan images and videos of My Singing Monsters, within and outside the game.
Games[]
From the popularity of the original game My Singing Monsters, games based upon the original game have been released. My Mammott was the first spin-off of the game and was released at 15th July 2014 (?). A similar spin-off of the original, My PomPom, was released on 15th November 2014 (?).
In August 2015, the release of the Kayna and Tribal Island began to lead to development of the prequel game My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, with slightly different mechanics to the original game.
Later in 2015, another spin-off of My Singing Monsters was released, having elements of a match-three game. This spin-off was Furcorn's Jelly Dreams. However, it became unsupported with the release of Jammer Splash, a similar match-three game with similar mechanics.

My Singing Monsters Live[]
The main source of live streams from Big Blue Bubble is My Singing Monsters Live. My Singing Monsters was originally a weekly live stream from Big Blue Bubble about My Singing Monsters, where they hosted giveaways, talked about new content, showed concept art, etc, but it went off of air on December 18, 2020. But on February 24, 2022, it was brought back as MSM Live 2.0. Instead of being weekly, they are usually hosted a few hours after a game update releases. They do a few things like the old My Singing Monsters Live, but with a focus on new content and answering questions.
Extra Life[]
Every year in early November, Big Blue Bubble does a 12-24 hour stream to support the Extra Life charity foundation. In these streams, they play games and do giveaways for 12-24 hours, with community events such as the Extra Life Minecraft server happening during the stream.
Other Streams[]
Big Blue Bubble also hosted other kinds of streams, such as Handler Hangout, a stream where they would invite members of the Ockulo Grove Discord server to come ask questions, and My Singing Monsters Fandemonium, a stream where they would reveal new content, look at fan-art, and other events. They also occasionally host miscellaneous live streams, such as the My Singing Monsters: The Board Game art print live stream, where Monster-Handler Randy could be seen live-painting the art print for the board game, and answering questions, while Monster-Handler Matt, and Michael were narrating the stream.
History[]
My Singing Monsters is a 2012 video game franchise developed by Big Blue Bubble, and funded by the Canada Media Fund. The first game of the series was released on September 4, 2012, for iOS. Ports of the game for other OSes were later released including versions for Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble Nook and Steam. The game was also released on the PS Vita. Since its release, My Singing Monsters has grown into a multimedia franchise, with a prequel, several spin-off games, books, live events and series, and a board game. On May 12, 2021, Big Blue Bubble announced that the series would be releasing its first console title, My Singing Monsters: Playground, on November 9, 2021.
Popularity[]
According to the Google Play Store, the original game has been downloaded more than 50 million times, and Dawn of Fire has been downloaded more than 5 million times. With the original and the prequel combined, the main games from the My Singing Monsters franchise have more than 55 million downloads just on the Google Play store alone.
