More Research is Needed This article is in need of a major restructuring or content update. Please help edit this page or visit the talk page to discuss how this article should be improved. Reason: Higher quality gifs are needed. Gifs should be in a square aspect ratio, have no HUD elements, decorations, or other Monsters visible. They should be taken from islands with more contrast against the ground. Cold Island is the best for most Monsters, except Mammott. |
The Mute button appears when a Monster is selected. In Dawn of Fire, Monsters have unique muting animations that play when they are muted, and some Monsters, such as Quibble, Potbelly, and the Thumpies, give off two sets of quarter rests.
Monsters in Dawn of Fire still produce Currency while muted. This also applies to Monsters in the original game.
Alternative Muting[]
An alternative way of muting a Monster is to turn their volume all the way down. This can be done by selecting the Monster, clicking the Move button, adjusting the Volume slider all the way to the left, and clicking Confirm. The Monster will still have its active appearance, but will not be audible. This is useful if the player wishes to keep the song extending properties on a certain Monster, but does not want it to play its music.
This feature has been introduced to Dawn of Fire in Version 1.10.0.

Notes[]
- In Dawn of Fire, when the player mutes a Monster, it will play a certain animation before sleeping. There is no animation for when it wakes up.
- Strangely, young G'Joob is an exception to this, going straight to sleep like in the original game.
Notable Mute Animations[]
While most mute animations are just Monsters sleeping, there are some notable animations that can stand out.
- In Dawn of Fire, Young PongPing strangely does not emit rest notes.
