- This is the main article for Monster Elements. For the category, see Category:Monster Elements.
Monster Elements/Monster Sigils (or simply Elements/Sigil) are the distinguishing features manifested by almost all of the Monsters in My Singing Monsters. Most Monsters have one or more Elements that define which Islands they can live on, and the parents that are required to breed them. Elements are divided into classes, whose Elements share the same breeding behaviors.

Notes[]
- Since so many elements are combined together to create Triple, Quad, and Quint-Element Monsters, some elements are more dominant/recessive than others - thus meaning that a Monster’s appearance might not necessarily represent every trait of its elemental configuration.[1]
- The Core Seasonal Monsters were the first Monsters whose elements were introduced after the monsters themselves. Before June 25th, 2016, they used to have no element at all, though they were shown only in news promotions and were present in My Singing Monsters Official Guide. In Update 3.0.4, their elements appeared in-game.
- Kayna is the only monster that has different breeding behavior depending on the MSM game that it is in. This makes it, in a way, the only monster with two possible Breeding Classes.
- The Dipsters used to have no element, but they eventually received their element in June of 2017. Like the Seasonals, their element didn’t appear in-game until Update 3.0.4.
- Some Magical Elements are extremely similar to symbols that already existed within the game, such as the Psychic and Bone elements, which are "present" in various places throughout the series, but mainly in the Wubbox Stockpile.
- The Dipsters and the Werdos are the only monsters that do not have an island dedicated to or themed around them.
- Gold Island has been represented through a “Gold Element” icon (a gold crown with four curled spikes and a green gem in the center) on the 1.4.0 version of the Map, and this “element” used to appear in the Memory Game. Both of these occurrences were removed with later updates, but the symbol still remains in use on the 4.3.0 version of the Map.
