MindBoggle is an Auxiliary Seasonal Event celebrated on Psychic Island, and is an Element manifested by Boo'qwurm. It is a Monster World holiday that is based on the time when students prepare to return back to school. It is celebrated from early August to late August. It is also celebrated during a short-term Out of Season Event in mid-February during Season of Love, and in a Time of the Season promotion during Anniversary Month.
During MindBoggle the following are available: Boo'qwurm (and its Rare and Epic variants), event themed Costumes, event themed Decorations, event themed Obstacles, and the Seasonal Island Skin. There are also special sales and promotions, and sometimes new content is released.

In 2023, an Island Skin with helpful boosts was released for Psychic Island. The skin decorates the Island for the MindBoggle season and changes the appearance of Obstacles. It is available to purchase for 
1,250 or $5 USD, but a trial is also available for free for the duration of the event.

Below details the history of past MindBoggle celebrations.
MindBoggle 2023[]
MindBoggle started on Wednesday, August 9th and ended on Monday, August 21st. This was the first celebration of MindBoggle that started off with Boo'qwurm and the Dipsters being added to Psychic Island. It also added Rare Bisonorus on Amber Island and Rare Creepuscule on Wublin Island. The MindBoggle Island Skin was also released.
MindBoggle 2024[]
MindBoggle started on Wednesday, August 7th and ended on Monday, August 19th. The event introduced four new Seasonal Costumes (for Bonkers, Pummel, Periscorp, and Bowhead), four new Seasonal Decorations (Brain Teaser Tome, Floating Library, Confounding Cryptex, and Bib'leo-Theque), and the discovery of Epic Boo'qwurm on its respective Islands. The event also introduced Rare Cataliszt, Rare Gloptic, and Rare Bowhead.

This promotion happens at the end of MindBoggle. During this promotion, all Psychic Island Rares and Epics become available to buy or breed.
Faerie Tales[]
During this promotion, all Faerie Element Rares become available to buy or breed. This promotion gives players a chance to collect the Faerie Element Rare Flex Eggs for Adult Scaratar.
Read My Mind[]
Starting on August 1st, 2024, one week before MindBoggle started, Psychic Island got discounted by 50%. The promotional image also includes a teaser for an upcoming costume during the event. The costume is the Tale of a Whale costume for Bowhead.
Rare-udition[]
During this promotion, Rare Boo'qwurm becomes available on Psychic Island and Seasonal Shanty.
Movin' On Up[]
During this promotion, the Nebulox Crystalline Castle Upgrades are discounted by 50% on Psychic Island.

- The name likely comes from the phrase “mind-boggling”.
- The element's sigil was teased on the SummerSong 2022 trailer.
- MindBoggle is the last new Seasonal Event to be celebrated during Anniversary Year, and the last new Seasonal Event to be celebrated overall.
- The story found on the sigil is only fictional in the Monster World, and it's likely a fairy tale.
- All the MindBoggle costumes (except for Bonkers') reference a classic book. Pummel's references The Rainbow Fish, Periscorp's references Coraline, and Bowhead's references Moby Dick.
- Every year so far, MindBoggle has included a teaser for a new quality of life update that releases in Anniversary Month.
- In 2023, the MindBoggle trailer included a teaser for the new font in a textbook.
